What are the chances that Honda will make a AWD 6speed TL?

We can only dream. If it ever is AWD in this model it will certainly be automatic.

If the RL is well received, I bet it's available in 2006 for the automatic. It's not too tough to adapt from the RL. The 6spd would be a little tougher, but possible.

It's all speculation of course, but I'd say pretty good chance. It would fit in nicely with the performance-oriented path Acura is heading now.

If Acura wants to compete they have to introduce an AWD TL. G35, 3 series, A4 all come with AWD options.
The RL will be priced too high to compete with the G35x.

If there is a AWD TL w/smart key i'll consider getting it. If there is a AWD TL w/6speed and smart key i'll definitely get it.

Very high....I just finish talking to my friend in japan and he told me that honda plans to implement SH-AWD on all their cars.

This is just for the japanesse market, so it might not be the same for the US.

Trust me on this one Acura loves the TL, they take a lot of pride on that car....if they can put SH-AWD on the TL, they won't hesitate to do so.

As far as SH-AWD on auto or 6 speed. Yes it works on both. The RL does not come in 6spd at the moment, don't know if ever. The SH-AWD was tested on a honda inspire (US accord)(TL platform) with 6spd. Many of us have seen the video.

I have been in germany since june03....I have been a longtime member, I personally know the owner and we are best friends.

I'm in germany becuse I'm station here with the military. The military ships your car for free where ever you are station, and since is temporary when you are overseas the car don't have to be legal (cat, safety) in that country, just has to pass an inspection.

new RL is only 300 HP out of the 3.5L v6. I guess they finally ditched the old Non-VTEC 3.5 from old and went with the Pilot/MDX v6. No electric, that was all rumors. It is a body change, now it looks like the front is a melted TL, and the rear is a Hyundai Elantra. But it does get the new to the world SH-AWD, which if it works, is going to really make people think of Honda as then engineering company that they truely are.

Now if they can just get their build quality back.

They just unvieled what is arguably the most sophisticated AWD platform in the world for the 2005 RL. No way that type of investment remains exclusive to the RL for long. Only question is when. I wouldn't be surprised if it was in the TL in 2006/07.
