Anyway to stop LED interior lights from flickering during engine start?
Basically what the title says. I previously had a 07 TL-S that I had interior LED lighting installed in. I wanted the interior lighting to be as close to newer cars OEM LED lighting so I didnt want anything tacky blue or crazy looking on the inside (not to offend anyone here). Anyway my previous TL is long gone and I got myself back into a TL-S but still have all my LED's as I took them out when I sold the car. I was very pleased with the ones I bought they are higher quality SMD's but I remember the only issue with them was they flickered when the car was being started. Its minor since you only start the car once each trip and only really noticeable at night, but would be nice if I could find a way to make this stop. Any ideas? Searching led me to nothing.
Thanks,
James
Here is a quick pic of my previous TL-S. The LED's I used had almost identical brightness and color to OEM LED interior lights (such as the 09+ TL's). Turned out nice.

the problem is that the car draws heavily on the electrical system when it starts and thus the minor flickering of the lights. You could try installing a higher CCA battery vs. the stock one.

Yeah I know and its just enough to cause the LED's to flicker. The standard bulbs obviously flicker as well but since its a filament bulb that flickering goes un-noticed.

I got them all from www.superbrightleds.com
They are the single SMD wedge bulb replacements in "pure white" color. I tested out their "warm white" and they were too yellow compared to OEM LED interior lighting. I found superbrightleds pure white SMD's to be the closest to OEM output.
Here is a picture I took of the exact bulb used on my interior.

What? lol Why would I have to take the dashboard and steering wheel off? Now you got me confused. Its the interior overhead lighting im talking about that was changed to LED.

damn $10/bulb is alot.. but they look white as hell. i used 5wled and 6led natural whites from superbrightleds in my previous cars and they dont look no where near as pure white nor bright as yours.. but i guess that's why its $10 compared to ~$3.50 per bulb lol.

Best way is to find LEDs that are designed around a 9v regulated circuit so during startup the voltage can drop down to 9 before its power source is effected. Other then that adding a 1000uf Capacitor is an easy way to solve this issue too.
