I just picked up my TL a few days ago. My rear speaker/speaker deck underneath the rear windshield is not flat. It's raised up on one side of the center speaker. The center speaker itself is not totally flat. Now everytime I look in the rear view mirror I see it. Has anyone else seen this? I am going to take this into the dealer but I was just curious if anyone else has seen this?

 

I have this as well, there was a topic posted earlier about it, many people have. I think right now its presumed normal. Im not totally sure, im sure someone else knows.

 

This is happening on new builds? I thought just old builds. I have vin 13XXX and don't have this - I guess it is hit or miss who gets it? What causes it - poor install by a line person? How does it get by their inspections? They do look at these cars before they ship them right? Right?

To anyone who has gotten it fixed - what did they replace or repair?

 

My VIN was 55xxx. So it's a new build.

 

I have 21xxx - and the tilted speaker

 

Is it a poorly mounted speaker or is the actual deck warped? That sucks.

yea i also have it - i thought it looked kinda off but i just took it as normal

 

I went to my dealer this morning and they are going to order me a new rear deck because of the warping.
