mine did that this morning

turn on the defogger, and rasie the temp up to 80+, it will take a few seconds, but it will clear up. you can then turn the temp to normal, and it will be fine

It's probably because of the weather condition... humidity and whatnot.

It's a good idea to have some anti-fog wipes handy for times like this.

Actually a lot of new cars have petroleum based dash boards. For the first few months it still seeps out and sticks to the windshield, constantly causing it to fog. Try using windex every day, that may help. Eventually the problem should subside(once the dash has done all the "seeping" it can).

Make sure that recirculate is off. If it's on then you will experience the problem you described.

I think you're talking about the "residue film" or "smoke film" that smears when wiped, crazymjb. Fogging only occurs when there's a difference between the outside and inside temp, with humidity being a factor.

Fogging

It might just be worth your while to try defrost setting... even though it is not

frost so to speak. Especiallly if you start the car with the climate control system

on. It re-starts in the last positon it was left on, and can cause this misting problem when you first re-start your car.

this may be a repeat solution..
