this is just a chrome stripping that goes down on the plastic pieces. that one looks like too much.... Look at mine...

If this is the guy on E-bay from NY (I recognize the pic) then talk to me before you buy it. I can tell you where to get the stuff for a 1/4 the price. Yes I made the mistake the first time and ordered from him... then i figured out what it is...

In my opinion, it calls too much attention to the lower grill.

It's just silver door edge moulding. Pick up several feet of it up at Pep Boys. And it looks

Yes, this is the big ebay "original"! Its nothing but cheap plastic trim edge peices for the door.

Thumbs down

I think the whole grill is too much chrome. I elected to just do one stripe in the center. I bought my on ebay and it's a cheap silver coated plastic strip. As you install them and bend them, you can see the crease under the clear coating.

I just got one of these, too. I think it looks OK on a silver car, but definitely as a single strip, not the entire grille--that's just ghetto.

One doesnt look bad at all. I also think contrast makes a huge difference. If its black it will obviously stand out more than on the silver.

With patience, masking tape and touchup spray paint this is the "oem look" I prefer on my SSM:

I like the way it looks on the ssm. I do agree that it would look a little ghetto on some other colors. I just thought the black looked too plain.

here are some pics of mine:

If I was going to do anything on my SSM, I'd do what Maddog136 did. That looks clean and nice.

Not feeling it on the dark cars.

Looks okay on the SSM.

I like the one where just the middle is done. Understated and classy looking.
