Are you talking about putting mesh down in the panel where the fog lights are? I've seen a few like that.

I believe the person is speaking of under-body panels for underneath the vehicle.
Usually you'd want some sort of design that maximizes under-body-air-flow.
I don't think honey-combs will work for air-flow

honey-combed core...with aluminum skins on both sides...honeycomb for insulation and strength vs just aluminum sheeting...

what is the honeycomb going to made out of? Your best bet is do do aluminum sheeting under with some braces running across to keep the weight down. As far as doing that, the TL's underbody won't show much improvement just by doing that becuase there is ton's of drag being caused in other places, and any down-force won't really be working until your past 120...

adding it would probably reduce your CD by maybe .002 which isn't really that much. If you want to go crazy with aero, add the a-spec body kit, it reduces cd slightly, then remove the front air-dam, then add your underbody trays, tighten up the body gaps, remove wipers, etc.

Wouldn't canards, splitters and under-body-front/rear-diffusers help as well?
