Just left the Navy and want to start working on the TL. Just did the Cold Cathode License Plate Lights and found it rather easy. Been looking into clearing out the headlights and installing Lower Foglights and HIDs. If anybody is doing this or other mods, hit me up. i would love to see it in person before i try it. I am/was a Electrician in the navy so i know how to turn wrenches and how to wire so i could be a lending hand. just hit me up.

 

There are a TON of TL owners in your area. I'm sure they'd be willing to help you out with your car.

appreciate it guys. when is anybody available? i would love to come by and check out other TL's. ( not to bite off of anybody but to inquire on more of the how to's since i know most of you all have been modding your TL's for a couple of years now). Like i said earlier, i just got honorably discharged from the NAVY so my job is to make sure the house is clean before the wife gets home from work ( sounds like a dream but fuck if i dont get tired of doing nothing!) reading as many threads on AZ, playing Call of Duty 4 on Xbox are how my days go right now while on a well deserved VAcation. Can't really work on car cuz ya konw how it is in the BX. i live right here next to Yankee Stadium, 167 right across the 181th street bridge so i dont have no space where i could just take off my bumper to remove my lights to take them upstairs to work on them PLUS its starting to get freaking cold out there but it aint nothing a sweater and a North Face couldn't fix. if any body not busy and wouldn't mind letting me come over checking out the whips and just have me probably drools about how good your car looks hit me up. 646-981-5132 Alex.

Check the AZ meets section. We have had at least 5-6 meets in the NY area in 2008. We commonly meet in Yonkers NY. That is the place to see all the local modded cars. We just had a meet last weekend. You can see pics on the thread in the meets section.

I saw the section about meets last night and saw that there was a meet at cross county mall WHICH I PASSED on the highway the day of the meet. i know its getting cold out here ( today is good tho for some strange reason) but hopefully it wont be that long til the next one. i'll definitely be there all stocked out!

Stillhere thanks for the help if i need for performance but eventually ima have to teach the wife how to drive and she will be driving this car so im not really looking into performance as of right now. noone ever knows, we might buy her a new car ( that aint mine!!!!). i'll hit you up tho if i need something.

Gonna install my cousins Cold Cathode later this afternoon around 4 and since i've already done it, it'll probably take 1/2 hour since im prepping now.

Thats what happens you do it one then twice then your taking apart the center console and radio just to change the damn leds!! Good job BTW rockyfeller. your interior looks sick.

Yeah well just like you, my wife also drives the car hence the reason I didn't go crazy with the performance (It is also the reason why I have an auto and not a MT. I think doing performance on an auto is a joke.) .....not to mention I still have over 10K still on warranty so I'll wait a bit....SO my car is just "cute" for now.

 

Damn Kid... your cousin was involved in that accident... I was pissed cause I detoured that night when it happened... then saw the actual accident was like "hope everyone is alright" ...

My cousin is fine bruised shoulder. he called me and I left my house rushing in my cousins 04 MT APB TL. when i showed up i was on grand concourse i just parked the car and left it there but the cops made us move it to the side road. it felt good driving a MT, its been a while and when i floored it on second gear, it felt even better. brings back memories of all the old hondas.

i hear you rocky and my wife says she'll love to be in something like that (except in WDP LOL)

I was on the USS NASHVILLE LPD-13 in Norfolk,Va. EM2(SW). Nope not on terminal leave, i am OUT!!! since Nov 21th. Im not even looking for a job yet. I'm on a great VACATION!!! I was a Geo- Bachelor so the whole time my wife was living up here in NYC while i was away. 3 deployments and a million underways.

 

hey rodney, did you drive down 170th and jerome at around 11 today with the windows down? i saw a WDP with a real bright tan interior so i thought it was you since i know you changed up the interior. i caught a quick glimpse of the taillights and they looked NOT STOCK so i was just wondering.

from IT's, we had RamosRosario, Caves, Urhin, Reindheart, Hardy, ITCM Myers, we was on deployment together back on '06 i think. or 05 i dont remember.

 

Just bought some relays and diodes, for the side marker mod.Felt for the tinting im soon going to do, and extra CCFL lights for the interior trunk so i have something to do next week. Anybody got some good tint shops that use non-metallic tint with good prices? i've searched around but no one has still found a way to have the side markers in unison with the front turn signals when the headlights are on. Is that a correct statement? Can someone get the schematic of the turning signals? Thanks.

the DIY by Pimpin-TL. i got the lights from ebay from the seller all_city as it was recommended on AZ and i recieved the lights really quick.

 

those lights he bought them off ebay, from a member called (all_city) btw they are a Cold Cathode and not LEDs

i'll definitely be doing my headlights but i think ima wait till early feb. i want to get everything ready before i remove the headlights so i wont have to do it again. ie. new HID's ( dont know what K yet), fog HID's, install lower fogs with HID's, chrome corner lights and dont know what else but i know ima have everythign first. i just bought the RTV. i couldn't find the cartridges anywhere so i had to buy it online. but i'll definitely be asking for help on that project.
