Not that this is entirely on topic...
But, my old G35C had a diagram on the inside of the trunk, detailing the best way to get 2 golf bags into the trunk. And, it worked! LOL

P.S. I think the reason they made the very front of the trunk so wide, so you could easily get a golf bag in there.

I LOOKED for this reason at the dealer and it SEEMED like it would not be a problem. Sorry I'm not more helpful. Not car YET and it is still 26 degrees out anyway

I am an avid golfer, and the easy loading and unloading of my golf bag was a prerequisite when I was looking at new cars last fall.

My full size staff bag fits easily in the trunk, as well as 2 other standard cart bags!

Note: Do not let any of the "griping" that you see in this forum detract from the TL! I have had my NBP/Ebony/5AT/Navi for 5 months now (6100 miles) and I love this car more and more with each passing day.

I recommend getting the navigation...it makes finding those obscure or hard to find golf courses much easier...

I haven't tried it yet. The weather is getting much better for golf here in California, so I'll see how many bags I can stick in the trunk. Also (I hate to sound like a cheap street vendor), but for those interested, I am selling a week at a golf resort in Florida. Check out my ad:

The only golf related item which will not fit in the trunk is a hard travel bag to store your golf bag in. Found this out the hard way before heading off to a Myrtle Beach golf trip a few weeks ago. It did however fit when I laid it in my back seat and angled it a bit.

I've put in two fully loaded stand bags in the trunk with no problems. I think there might even be room for a third bag. There's definitely enough room for two golf bags and luggage.

One set of clubs in a full size (10 ½ “) bag, including a 46 inch driver, and a pull cart fits fine. Two full size bags also fit fine. You can tell when you put the bag in the cart that a golf bag was a design consideration.

If you golf, you should get the trunk tray. It is great to catch the loose grass and dirt from your shoes and cart.

Even though I am not that old I moved to a 50" putter. The bag fits but only diagonally. It's a "pro" bag as well so I guess I could get two of them in there in that fashion on top of each other. However, I would most likely pull the driver, 3W and putter out and lay them across with the bags underneath. Should be able to hold at least 3 of the 9 to 10" diameter bags with no problem form what I've seen in my TL.

Cargo net

Has anyone figured a way to get your golf bag in there with the cargo net?

Went golfing last weekend. Fit 3 "stand" bags and clubs. Probably could have fit 4, to be honest. There's lots of room back there. Having the trunk tray is nice to catch all of the grass and dirt from the bags/shoes.

I just unhook one side of the net when I put my bag in. That may have been a Mr. Obvious comment which you weren't looking for....my apologies if so.

Thanks - and no apology necessary!

I should have phrased my original question a little clearer: I was wondering, based on the flexibility of hooking up the cargo net, if someone has figured a way to arrange the cargo net so that a golf bag would also fit - then again, unhooking a side of the net is pretty easy to do.

Yeah, there's only like eight......teen freaking cargo hooks and like the same amount of loop holes in the net...it's a bit confusing, that's for sure!!

It took me awhile to get it all installed...I was a bit cluuuuuuuueless.

I actually just unhook it in two places and then I have no problems getting my bab in.

I put my single stand bag in without any problems. I put it in parallel to the rear bumper, with the club heads to the left.

Has anyone found it easier to put the clubs in perpendicular to the rear bumper (like, grips pointing to the front and club heads pointing to the rear of the car)?

Or, what is the best way to load / unload your clubs for space considerations? Or, how about access considerations?

I'm an avid golfer and I brought my 46" driver with me the first time I looked at the '04 TL. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it fit along the rear of the trunk parallel to the rear axle. No problem fitting 2 entire golf bags at the same angle. I couldn't do this with my old Volvo S-80 even thought it had a larger trunk by square footage.

The cargo net doesn't get in the way at all. The clubs are behind it. The other option is to open the pass through and place the driver and other woods through it. Then place other golf bags around it.

I love to golf. Getting a golf bag in the trunk was a must when deciding on a car. I can put two stand bags parallel with the bumper, but I don't think I can fit any more. I wish it would fit four bags for golf outing with friends, but it maybe a blessing in disguise (let someone else drive).

By the way, don't let a 'friend' put the golf bag in or remove from the trunk as they could easily scratch the rear bumper.

Try playing ice hockey and fitting your stuff into a 350Z...I was looking into one some time ago and people were saying stuff like "Your stick will fit along side the passenger side but it'll probably hit the rear windshield." I thought to myself 1) wtf 2) scratch this car off my list.

I'm in heaven with my TL as far as the Trunk goes. My last car was a Prelude with a 10" Sub in the trunk (trunk from hell). One reg sized golf bag had to be forced in the truck. the Driver had to be bent slightly to get it in!. A pro size bag would not fit and had to go in the back seat, my hockey bag was another adventure, and the sticks went in the the passenger side.
The Tl holds 3 golf bags PLUS it has room for a cooler, 24 beers and the guys going golfing. No complaints here!

Are those becoming "non-conforming" along with the new limits on driver size?
