Why get rid of it, they will throw in a new one, or repair this one, for free.

Nothing new, really. Just a necessary extension of the original recall.

I can't wait for the V6P group to come out with the transmission upgrade kit.

Have you actually had the problem yet? No? Oh, that's what I thought. Be happy they are taking care of it before something happens and you are stranded. RECALLS COME OUT ON EVERY CAR!

recalls come out on every car but not the same damn problem. honda knows they have a problem with their auto trannies and yet they don't completely fix the problem.

If you think acura has bad trannys take a look at ford. My fathers taurus lost the first one at 60, then the rebuilt at 80, and that is a guarantee to anyone with a taurus. Even if your tranny malfunctions it is unlikely you would be stranded, but in my fathers case running at 5-6k rpm on a ford would have caused other problems had we not been a mile or 2 away from home. The AT is probably the most sophisticated piece of technology on the TL(well, the VTEC is a close second), if you dont have everything perfect in a tranny it is bound to malfunction.
