Have you actually had the problem yet? No? Oh, that's what I thought. Be happy they are taking care of it before something happens and you are stranded. RECALLS COME OUT ON EVERY CAR!

If you think acura has bad trannys take a look at ford. My fathers taurus lost the first one at 60, then the rebuilt at 80, and that is a guarantee to anyone with a taurus. Even if your tranny malfunctions it is unlikely you would be stranded, but in my fathers case running at 5-6k rpm on a ford would have caused other problems had we not been a mile or 2 away from home. The AT is probably the most sophisticated piece of technology on the TL(well, the VTEC is a close second), if you dont have everything perfect in a tranny it is bound to malfunction.
