Alarm & remote start

Has anyone installed an aftermarket alarm on their new TL? If you have, what kind did you get? Also, can you remote start the 6MT?

I have installed an additional alarm, Hornet 700T, tied in to the factory system. Still uses the same remotes. It was the best $120 i've spent on the car. I still have the factory alarm with horn and lights but now I also have a shock sensor and another sounding alarm as well.

It's illegal in most places to have a remote start on MT. It's very expensive in all places to just have it done.

I had a COMPUSTAR remote start/alarm installed on a 5 speed at no additional cost.

Was that on your '04? If it was, how do you like it? Does it have the LCD screen remote?

Talking to my salesman about hooking up a remote starter for cold Canadian winters, but he mentioned to me that I would void the warranty on the vehicle. I wonder if that's true??

I have the auto, but an a alarm n00bie
Is there any chance the stock alarm can go off accidentally and not the aftermarket? My fired had a crappy hookup and this used to happen, real annoying. Can you activate the remote start from stock remote, if so how? Thanks
