Acura Survey for Work Done
Acura Survey for Work Done
A week ago I received a call from Acura asking how I was satisfied with the work done at my local dealership.
I went in there to have 2 things done: the Major issue (swap out the bluetooth module) and the Minor issue (the side mirrors vibrate and have a hard time tilting down.)
The bluetooth issue was fixed perfectly; as for the side mirrors, the svc advisor said it wasn't vibrating anymore (actually I specifically told him to "lube it".) Well, it turned out that they didn't do anything to it and is still vibrates when it tilts down.
So I told the Acura survey person that I'm giving them a 7 for not completing the work that I had asked for.
That same day, the service advisor calls me up discussing why I rated the service as a 7 and is pleading to bring my car back and give him another chance to fix the mirror. WTF?
For me, he already got his chance and he effed up the first time. How hard/expensive is it to squirt some WD40 in the side mirrors?
What would you guys do here? Give it back to him? It's his fault.

I wouldn't use WD-40 as it dries out quickly, its the shittiest lubrication product out on the market...its like water... I'm all for 2nd chances see what they do and then if the still fuck it up call them back and tell them they went from 7 to a 2 in your rating system. They are there to perform a service on a vehicle whether there is a safety issue involved they should do their job and do it well.
They probably don't even have WD 40, probably some graphite spray or something.
Anyway, I can live with the vibration but I get aggravated everytime I back up and look in the mirrors. The car didn't do this when it was new.
I have a feeling that they get compensated based on the ratings they get.
When I got my wife's RX serviced, the svc advisor was practically kissing my ass, offering all this stuff that he was gonna do at no charge.
When I was leaving he kept mentioning "Don't forget me in the survey!" I was like yeah whatever.
