Acura Now Rated Absolute Lowest
in Owner Satisfaction by Consumer Reports while Tesla, Porche, Genesis were rated tops. Even Honda remains in the top 10, as do Subaru, Toyota, Audi, Kia, and BMW. Remember folks, this is from reader satisfaction surveys, not Consumer Reports's own tests or opinions.

That because of the slow sale of vehicle and dealer want to charge extra in service to make up for it. Lately the only Acura vehicle that selling well is the new RDX other than that most other car just sat on the lot, my dealer offer $15k off MSRP on a 2019 RLX SH-AWD and it still sit on the lot.

If this is a "self-report" survey, I can understand why. Results wouldn't be representative of the overall view, since most people reporting would be at one extreme or the other (love/hate). Not saying Acura hasn't fallen from Grace, but I would be a little suspect of the survey methods.

Competition is more intense than ever out there now, so they'd better get their heads out of their asses and out of the clouds.
There shouldn't be any reason in hell why the RLX isn't competing with Genesis, Lexus, and Mercedes.

Lets see, acura still has an ongoing issue with crap leather, peeling armrests for doors and center consoles, outdated radio tech and "acuralink", terrible reliablity on trans and also the huge oil burning debacle going on. Add onto that the dealers act like it's something they have never seen and give customers the run around. Plus the whole airbag recall didn't help either. Look at the disaster of the NSX and it's -66% Year over year sales as of Aug 2018 to Aug 2017. That's pretty bad for a HALO car...
Other brands seem to be making better products now than Honda/Acura. They rested on their laurels past 2008 and are paying the price with a decline in sales even though other auto makers are going into the green and selling more.

Because they have competed themselves out of the market. Any new Honda is just as nice as its Acura equivalent. My 2002 Civic EX was "top of the line" with power windows/locks, sunroof, manual cloth seats (with height adjustment knob on driver's side!), cruise control and 1 disc CD player (yes only the EX had this). Today, a loaded Civic has all the same shit as the ILX, so why pay a premium for the Acura?
