3M Fuel system cleaner. Worth it?

I have tried seafoam in the past and its been okay. Found this product on amazon. Anyone else try it? It seems very easy and the reviews on amazon are all positive. Is it worth the $30??

The 3M kit looks like carb cleaner and seafoam's spray version just in a box. In all honesty, I'd use a fuel cleaner such as Redline SI-1 and as well seafoam spray (called deep creep) in the intake tract (not really that necessary though) and some carb. cleaner on the throttle body.

You shouldn't have to much carbon buildup unless you've been running regular fuel, and a simple fuel cleaner should take care of it through the fuel tank.

I'd throw Redline fuel system cleaner in the tank and call it a day or just leave it alone.

What makes you think you need a fuel system cleaner? If you've used premium fuel for the car's life, it has enough cleaners to never have to use a cleaner.

amsoil PI

I was buying amsoil at my distributor and read about the P.I (performance improver) on their site. It was 10$ so I bought it and put it in right after I filled up. Driving the same as usual that tank got me about 350km till the light came on. And now I am on the first tank AFTER using P.I. and I'm at 420km and the light hasn't come on yet. I might even be driving harder this tank and I'm getting better mileage. Try it out and you'll be impressed.

I believe it has had premium fuel its whole life. I hope.
I am the third owner. I picked it up at 108k. All i have ever put is premium, but the previous owners pick of octane is up in the air... Thats all. But thanks for the feedback.

You know that's impossible, right?

I've used Pi before and you better change your oil after you run it. It does not play well with the lead in your bearings....if the TL uses lead.
