I remember that...
fuckin good times
Back when I sort of watched bball... now i just watch balls bouncing elsewhere
Not trying to kick you when you are down, BUT I sorta remember getting into it with you

I love it when you type in capitals
But seriously, you're wrong and there's enough anecdotal evidence here to confirm that. Again, I'm sure you've spilled gas on your car in the past. Any damage? Nope. I've spilled brake fluid on my paint (when the line blew). Any damage? Nope. People put paint thinner on their paint. Any damage? Nope.
I'll say it again. Paint has zero protective properties. It's all in the clear coat. It's also a big reason I don't like cutting the clear coat to remove swirls. It's the only barrier your paint has from everything it comes into contact with. You want it to be as thick as possible.
And I'm not saying that clear won't eventually be deteriorated by something caustic, but for the short haul, it's supposed to protect the paint.

There was also this..

Um, nope. Ever spill brake fluid on paint? It'll take it off in a jiffy. Not so much the case if clearcoat is there. When my brake line blew, it spilled fluid all over my wheel and a bit on the fender and I wasn't able to wash it off for about 5 hours. Zero damage.
Paint has zero protective properties. It's all in the clear coat. That's why manufacturers have all their patended clear coats. Self healing clears, diamond coat clears, etc, etc.
Stuff CAN ruin the clear, but just because it ruins paint doesn't mean it will ruin the clear. But sure, keep on babbling

I'm willing to bet you had a rock chip in your caliper clear coat, the brake fluid got under the clear and the rest was history. That, and not all clear coat is created equally.
Call bullshit all you want. My paint isn't peeling off my rim or fender, even after washing the car.
Guys admit to using paint thinner and gasoline, without issue.
Still gonna argue?

LOL...there's no way you think you can pour brake fluid on your clear coat and be chillin...
I'd love to sit there and watch you eat a stack of pancakes tied to a lawn chair while you watch me pour a bottle on your hood...then watch the sweat break out on your forehead(skin).
I got a dialogue going with Rockyboy...but holy hell, that guy does NOT break character...I don't think he was getting my underlying joke about having zero confidence and relying on your car for hos.

I still see my pic? is it not viewable for ya'll?
taco, no rock chips... the picture shows an outline of a drip that leaked all the way down the caliper.
Brake fluid took the clear and paint right off!
IT ALSO SAYS IN THE SERVICE MANUAL, when doing brakes...."IF YOU GET BRAKE FLUID ON CUSTOMERS CAR, WASH RIGHT AWAY.

At this point a sub $10K Honda in good running condition with bad paint is a beater...treat it as such.

Take some 400 grit to the entire metal painted surface and let it patina like a mofo = profit.

You know why I said that right?
It's not only because you can't read.
It's mainly because you sound like that one character.
Makes it even better that you haven't seen it.
