A private place we chat, where we share more personal stuff is not too hard to keep straight from the entire world wide web, although not too many people visit ramblings anyway. IMO, of course...
Sharing anecdotes about towels and my misadventures in the world are one thing.
I am very transparent on the internet but I'd like to think I can pick and choose when there's something I don't want public.
Either way, it ain't no thang but a chicken wang...

Paint has zero protective properties. It's all in the clear coat. That's why manufacturers have all their patended clear coats. Self healing clears, diamond coat clears, etc, etc.
Stuff CAN ruin the clear, but just because it ruins paint doesn't mean it will ruin the clear. But sure, keep on babbling

my brembo calipers paint is destroyed from brake fluid. i fuggin watched it happen, as I was bleeding brakes.
Call bullshit all you want. My paint isn't peeling off my rim or fender, even after washing the car.
Guys admit to using paint thinner and gasoline, without issue.
Still gonna argue?
P'Dik going at it again... This time with timing belts

I have 175k on my 05. Had a full inspection done by dealer this summer. Not just a visual inspection, a full inspection. It was required by the court and paid for by the garage I'm suing. The inspection cost was close to 500$. They said based on age, timing belt would be a good idea, but based on actual timing results, no obvious sign of fatigue and results were near perfect. So I guess it depends, on what? I have no idea. The only timing belt related issue i had was a squeeking tensioner pulley.

gasoline, paint thinner, and brake cleaner without bleach sounds like what you're describing. I do believe the clear has more protective qualities than paint (probably just harder and thicker) but I've seen it burn through too, like Justin said.

I mean, I'd goof off 2 on the clear to get stickers off all day...I stayed away from goof off 1 though...unless you go at it very fast and then immediately spray it down and stop the chemical reaction.
Justin, all good, man...
Joe...hell yeah...we go to a game, fkng get demolished 58-0. We watched some of the game at a halloween party but didn't see the end until the next day. That was friggin awesome. Officials got suspended for letting it ride, but apparently they had been pretty lax on duke the entire game.

LOL...there's no way you think you can pour brake fluid on your clear coat and be chillin...
I'd love to sit there and watch you eat a stack of pancakes tied to a lawn chair while you watch me pour a bottle on your hood...then watch the sweat break out on your forehead(skin).
I got a dialogue going with Rockyboy...but holy hell, that guy does NOT break character...I don't think he was getting my underlying joke about having zero confidence and relying on your car for hos.

I still see my pic? is it not viewable for ya'll?
taco, no rock chips... the picture shows an outline of a drip that leaked all the way down the caliper.
Brake fluid took the clear and paint right off!
IT ALSO SAYS IN THE SERVICE MANUAL, when doing brakes...."IF YOU GET BRAKE FLUID ON CUSTOMERS CAR, WASH RIGHT AWAY.

I'm doing well. Anyone did cool shit on Halloween?
Ended up dressed like a very pretty lady (read 80s whore look) and piss drunk downtown after drinking with 2 lesbians friend for most of the night. Almost got into a fight with some guy blocking the metro doors, but his friend was chill and took care of him.
I never realized eyeliner was so difficult to remove. I tell ya, don't let lesbians dress you up.

Was fun, we dressed up like cats...
Waxed the SRX and wheels...did some troubleshooting on the TL...will order the o-ring, hose and the S2000 has a bunch of dash bulbs out...yesterday cut the grass, did the fertilizer then trimmed some of our shrubs.

You're going to remove the PS return line hose on the TL? Have you found a way to snake your hand there or going to lower the subframe?

I'm not certain yet...but I kinda would like to swap it correctly, although if fixing the o-ring on the sensor stops the leak, I'll probably just leave well enough alone.
The $10 in shipping is what's gotten me considering ordering everything, since I have to pay it anyway. I need to figure out the bulbs first too...I had placed an order for the o-ring alone but then it was $5 shipped...realized I might want to just pay the other $5 in shipping for a 60 cent part to get everything.

it's actually no worse than the rear catalytic...just need to put a towel on the engine and plan to lay on top and dangle your arms down. If you look down/back center of firewall you'll see the other clamp down there. A bitch to get to, but doable. I am not going to touch it if the o-ring stops the leak though, fk it.
Plus, I'm not doing it, Majofo is flying in and handling it while I watch.
