What are the top 3 things you love about YOUR 3rd Generation TL?

I'm curious as to what you guys think is best about your TL's. Is it stock or aftermarket things you've had done or is just the emblem? Let me know.

1) I get so many girls
2) Nobody suspects somebody not in their 60ies driving one of these (exclusivity factor)
3) My insurance is cheap because nobody steals this car

1) The community is alive and well...it makes the car easy to repair, no shortage of parts, a lot of DIY
2) Quite remarkable fuel consumption. If you know how to manage, you can get great mileage.
3) Simply an all around great car to own/drive/be a passenger. I have buddies with other premium brand vehicles, BMW335xi, G35, Volvo, Genesis Turbo, FX35, and most people can agree the TL is the most comfortable to sit in, has the most space for all 5 passengers, has a lot of trunk space, has many more options that other cars either don't have or have only a few.

I've wanted a 3rd gen TL since I was 16, got it at age 26. I wanted a 3rd gen only, i really don't like the 4th gen. The only other TL i really dig is the TLX but I have no plans to change because I like my TL so much I want to keep it as long as I could. It's fully paid for, and the insurance is not very expensive.

1) It's paid in full since 2010 (well, mine is anyway)
2) It's not great at any one particular thing, but does everything extremely well as a whole, mpg, performance, space, comfort, etc.
3) Still looks and runs as new- style (to me) has not aged- still looks current

1) the exterior style still looks good compared to current cars (and better than all TL cars after 2008)
2) came fully stocked in 2008 with items that only $50k cars came with at that time (287 bhp, rear camera, navigation, independent ac, seat heaters, side mirror heaters)
3) it's an acura/honda so it's going to last a long time if properly maintained
3a) 300 whp with 25 mpg

1. generous leg room compare to G35, IS350 and BMW 335.

2. Style never get old even standing next to the 2016 IS350 F sport.

3. Under power in straight line performance compare to the G35 IS350 but whoop their ass in cornering.

1. I like that every problem I encountered with my TL ( which havent been many ) has been experienced by most of us owners and have been fixed by them. The posted DIY's and the help has saved us hundreds if not thousands of dollars in repairs.

2. Comfort has always been something I love about this car. for an almost 10 year old car, it still looks good on the road too.

1) Amazing looks, always get compliments & no one ever believes the car is almost 9 years old
2) Great engine, driving dynamics & overall crusier
3) Acura/Honda reliability

if I could add a fourth it would be its incredible re-sale value too!

1) Love the look, even 11 years the 04's still look just as good as 2015 cars
2) People always tell me that my car is around 10-15k (really 7-8k depending on certain factors)
3) Believed to be the best japanese car ever made to this day and I believe it!

1 engine sound better than my 14MDX.
2 solid body feel better than my 14MDX
3 body style still sharp
the new generation ACUAR become light weight(I don't like),more cost reduction(cheap driving feel even RLX), no charming engine sound, weak body feel. while Lexus becomes more aggressive and better driving performance than before.
I wish Acura insist its spirit, and 04-08 TL is the most full of the feel except its front end needs to be more decorous(?).

1) The looks
2) Honda reliability and durability
3) Smooth, awesome sounding power

Not to mention that mine will be paid off in a few months and still has less than 75K miles on it.

1. Car looks great from ANY angle. Most cars have an ugly side to them.
2. The stock shifter (manual transmission) is so nice to hold and doesn't stick out like a boner.
3. The dual exhaust tips are done right. So flush with its unique shape.

I think we all have a soft spot for the 3G TL, but number three is a serious stretch.

1) Tape deck and its not even close. The tape deck connector makes music come in so much louder. Cost like $10 on amazon

2) Style inside & out

3) Reliability

Yeah if any car of the Acura family made it to the top, it's the NSX and the Legend.

1. Exterior looks; after parking the TL, even up to today, I could still turn around and be
impressed by its styling.

2. Reliability

3. The stock sound system, although not amazing compared to some other newer cars, I think the ELS system in this car is pretty good to be honest and even better than some newer cars.

1 - 6MT + Brembos
2 - Styling especially exterior
3 - shutter controlled Hi beams. I think the clunk and instantaneous transition to hi beams is way-cool. Many cars of our vintage have HID lows with hally highs. We get the best of both!

I agree I owned a 1986 Legend and a 1991 Legend. The Legends still turn heads when driving down the street.

I love my 04 TL, so much so that I don't even know what my next car should be..( besides something that is out of my price range..Tesla anyone?)
  1. HIDs on an 2004 Standard
  2. 6MT...it is a thing of beauty
  3. Interior lighting...the blue LED is just sexy.

Finally its paid for!!! 175k+miles

I just picked up a white 2005 TL with nav, only 66k miles.

1. Looks-ages very well, doesn't look outdated (in my opinion).
2. Powertrain-smooth, effortless power. It is great on the freeway and has plenty of power, even with the AC on full blast.
3. Interior-stylish and comfortable with awesome features. The rump roasters are nice, even though it doesn't get that cold here. The nav system works on and off, but the version I have doesn't have the full AZ-202 loop and i probably wouldn't use it too much anyway.

1- Drives like a dream (6 spd w. A-Spec suspension).
2- Honda/Acuras will last.
3- What a car to travel in. Smooth comfort with almost 30 mpg- at least when you don't need A/C .

Third Gens are the nuts; from the Brembos, to the sway bars, to the great looks. It is so sad but the newer ones are butt ugly, overstuffed, creatures made to cater to a crowd that cares not a whole lot about most of what makes this car great.
