The 3G Ramblings & General Discussion Thread (Trois)
We had a well known and respected member here go through this. He did a BBK.. I think new lines and calipers. Can't remember member.. maybe MMADE22.. he's long gone now.
He was on the freeway going at a decent click when he saw some traffic up ahead. He hit his brakes and heard clunking, then lost pressure. Long story short, his caliper got loose (possibly stripped bolts) and cut free snapping the brake hose. He lost braking power but was able to still get the car to slow down by staying on the brake (still had rear braking bias) and getting off the road. He got lucky. I think he had some body / wheel damage.. but for the most part came out of it unscathed. I've been through a similar situation with a failing MC and brake booster.. fun.

and that's when I would shit my pants. Make sure the e-brake still works!!

Honda ebrake is truly a parking brake, not really for emergencies. My guess is it would be toast in about -2 seconds. They do apply stopping power, but will probably catch on fire before it stops the car.

Not unlike a pointless thread created just to piss me off.
I also have thoiboi blocked. And have for a very long time. Much longer than Maj. And I can't even remember why. LOL
Edit: Poly thread I bet.
Oh I know. I was *considering* limping the car home in the evening when there's little traffic and just relying on the e-brake. That lasted for about five seconds before I figured that was a really bad idea.
1. No brake lights
2. Minimal stopping power, with all bias at the back
3. How long will it last? Let's not find out!!
With where I was in relation to where I live, there was minimal lights though. Still. Bad idea.

Johnny got blocked?
That speaks volumes...and not in a good way.
CU, I actually have an extra wheel in the attic
Kevin, I was absolutely thinking the same thing...tell em to keep the corolla and just get something new...
but I suggest you do that same scenario, except at a different brand dealership! Used G37S!

Toyota told me it can take anywhere from a couple days to a couple months to get the car back.
Something about Toyota not sending the parts for the recall. The SA stated that even when they start sending them they will only send 1 or 2 a week because they've done that in the past. He said you may have this rental for a while my man.

there are way too many threads going on at once in here.. and the confusion all started when Chad decided to bring himself here even though he claims he blocks half the people here and doesn't give a shit..
I'm going to take a shit.. or a Chad..
We better be tossing salads when I get back..

Nope, I tried to get the Camry. They said Toyota won't pay the extra 5 bucks a day, I said well fuck, give me the Corolla S. I must say I'm impressed with the car. It's not total shit like I thought it would be. It's better then the Civic that is for sure.
