Ok so $10 x 15 = $150 for 150 gallons. Plus you mixed with topsoil? Let's forget that cost and time entirely.
1 cubic yard = ~202 gallons
If I went and picked up a cubic yard (that's an additional 52 gallons btw which I imagine more than makes up for your added top soil) of 60/20/20 mix at our local soil/mulch distributor it would be $36 plus tax. Throw in a few bags of Vermiculite if you want although entirely unnecessary with the compost. Let's aim high and say +$30.
That's $66.

Why are you still even talking about this? It was done weeks ago, and I had zero desire for a dump truck to dump dirt all over my driveway. Now you're comparing American pricing to Canadian pricing. Yup, that makes sense too. But you know, I've never built or landscaped anything in my life, so I'm clearly a tool for not following your ways.
for the record, it was 15 gallons x 15 bags.
And the topsoil I mixed the potting mix had to either be mixed back in, or removed. Guess what, I have nowhere to dump it. Yes, I know bagged soil is more expensive, but oh my God, I overpaid by $50, and that's only if I pick it up myself. Oh, looks like I don't have a truck, so there's another $100 fee for delivery.

So if we're talking about fill dirt (as opposed to potting soil) just watch the neighborhood for someone putting in a pool... I did once, and every few months they knock at my door and ask if I want some more. I've raised my yard up two feet already (I have a bobcat to move it around once they dump it though).
