Seriously mang.. laminate is okay but it's not going to feel great unless you spending big bucks on deep plank.
Only thing worse in my mind is vinyl. Vinyl has great properties but it's soft AF and feels like vinyl.
I helped my homie put laminate in his whole house. It's held up okay but it's not great.
Wood tile actually feels fucking great and is cheaper, even with backerboard. Plus no bullshit click clack patty wack.
idk how many times we had to take the fucking planks apart because the gap wasn't perfect.

If I could lay it directly over the floor without installing a new sub floor I'd be all over that. Seriously...we're just limited on time for install etc...
I put in laminate in my old townhouse and it got the jerb done...also, this likely won't be the forever house if things go in that direction.

I'm actually redoing my tile floors with wood tile soon.
I have been on the fence for a while because dogs and kids.
Spills and traction is going to happen mang.
I was skeptical of tile, but having visited many builds with it.

We went for wood tile in our bathrooms when we remodeled my parents's house. It matches perfectly with the dark grey bamboo in the rest of the house so I know that it looks good.
