Ok, but, one more- when new tech come see out, it's easy to replace a router- but with new cables, not so much.
anyway, it's clear I know nothing on the subject matter so I'll go back to looking at dick pics. Fuck, if only I didn't have to wait 15 seconds for each one

it's super fucking easy to replace cables.. you tie the new one to the old one and sling it through.

Cat 6 is going to be around for a while. Internet speeds are barely hitting Gigabit now with fiber so it's not even mainstream yet. The router isn't completely replaced.. it's more a supplement to the router; i.e. rather than have all your devices on wireless, have some things that can be wired be wired, and that opens up the spectrum for the wireless devices.

comparing apples to oranges here, I think. I have a dedicated fiber optic line running to my house... then one router that everyone is connected to. 2 guys gaming downstairs and us streaming Netflix upstairs, and there's no issues
if only I had something able to tell me speeds again... if I'm not mistaken, it's 300mbps download and upload.
Anyway, I'll shut up. Makes no difference either way- I was just curious.

It's not curious if a dong is sticking through the hole

Also, Internet is different from Intranet. The wired connection comes in extra handy when you're trying to stream stuff from a home server or back up pr0n to the NAS in your closet or something.

No never mind, it's 150mbps up and download at my house. Shiiiet 1gbps would be crazy.

Why is upload speed so much slower on a conventional system?
Senior Moderator
it's throttling purposes. Cable companies like to do it to control what you're uploading. "business" lines have symmetric download/uploads. When I working at the University, it was great because we had 100 symmetric..Awesome for seeding torrents

You were at a university? Ok, now I know you're lying!!
