Just curious- as I know fuck all about anything computer related... but why not just do wireless through the house, and add a signal booster if necessary, as opposed to hard wiring? I thought today's wireless systems are good enough to stream shit high speed. Both guys living in my basement are regular gamers and they've never had issues with the wireless being slow.

Everyone asks this question but wired will always beat wireless for specific use cases. Latency, signal loss and degradation due to other wireless devices, etc etc.. We still use wifi but for some things, I like to stay wired for the most dependable connection.
