I went to Starbuchs a couple weekends ago. My fancy pants french press was dirty but I hadn't started the dishwasher yet. And my other dishwasher hadn't come over to start cleaning the house yet, so I went to the local Stardbucks like a filthy immigrant.

Drive through because aintnoonegottimeforthat.png, and they were able to *take* the order but not *make* the order. Simple shit too.

Me: Can I get a medium vanilla latte with whipped cream (for cul0wife).
Derp: So that's a <dumbass size> vanilla latte with whipped, what else?
Me: Yeah, I guess that it... and a large blonde roast coffee (for me; hoping it won't taste burnt like their regular swill).
Derp: What kind?
Me: Just regular coffee. The blonde roast. Large.

this is my exact problem with startbugs!!! Their coffee 9 times out of 10 tastes fucking burnt. I'm quite certain they are all fucking epically retarded.

it's either that, or the coffee has just been sitting around too long. That's no good either.

But it makes you wonder, you go to a coffee shop and you get old/burnt tasting coffee... How little of that swill do they sell everyday? What the fuck do people go to a coffee shop for, if it's not the coffee?!

Interesting fact- all Starbucks locations are actually owned by Starbucks. They don't franchise them out. And yet they still make a shitty cup of coffee. No idea how they became so big and popular.

Yeah, I read once (lol, reading!) that the reason they taste burnt is because they are burnt. Intentionally.

It's a consistency thing. Since Stargbuches is literally everywhere, they want to have a cup of coffee taste the same regardless of where you buy it. Rather than do it right, they over roast all the beans so they all taste uniform. Like shit.
