Seriously...I guess it had alot to do with me being a Dad now. What I want to teach Little Cha...being honorable, honest, and kind as a human being. And how being those qualities equates to success and a fulfilling life. Instead, we have a hateful, LYING, and dishonorable ORANGE f*cking incoherent moron who got voted in...What does that teach my kid? That lying, taking advantage of others is now a path to success? It disgusts me and so, yeah...I do post.
I literally got drunk (in a reaction to my shock and horror) on election night back in November. Haven't been hungover in over a decade.

Oh, no argument there. Posting in R&P is just another thing I do per my other frequents on this forum...I may get a bit more worked up based on the posts in that sub-forum but generally, it's like what I do in other areas -- to pass time and have some fun.

I know you were being mostly rhetorical, but a man once told me: "no one is totally worthless, they can always serve as a reminder for others".
So while it may seem that Cheeto has done what you said, it doesn't mean that it conflicts with your first ideas of what to teach Little Cha. While Cheeto may be "successful with a fulfilling life" that is only by one set of metrics. By some other metric, he's a vile, fat, little man with very obvious deficiencies and handicaps. So it's all how you frame it to Little Cha, and in fact, in some bizzaro universe, this could actually be the *best* lesson and you should be grateful this Klansman is the POTUS. I mean, not this reality, but some hypothetical one.
Oh, and no... That man wasn't Abraham Lincoln. It was this Mormon dude I used to work with. I actually changed some of my preconceived notions and grew as a person because of him.
Here's why I go into R&P: to hear out other people's opinions and try to understand why they feel that way. The trolls don't make it better. I'd love to just have a good honest conversation about things but unfortunately it's hard to come by because the intelligent people don't like to participate.
You don't go to some dive bar hoping to encounter ScarJo willing to give you a blowie..
Same goes for R&P.. it's devoid of anything relating to ScarJo giving blowies..
