I've priced out a row of Besta units from IKEA that intend to install against 2 walls in the basement. I will see what room I have left after that...but, I suspect I'll be selling some to reduce my collection. There's no freaking way I can display 1000+ toys.

Yummy, have you thought about melting them all into one giant plastic ball? Then you can just shine a few choice spotlights on them (go led, less heat).
Or is that a bad idea? Would that ruin them?
