Played softball(s) last night...
We were coming in to the game with a 3-0 record.
We were also playing the worst team in our division, with a 0-3 record.
The other team also has not one a single game in spring league, and so far none in summer league.
Until they played us last night and beat us 25-19
An absolutely abysmal showing by our team... but, we were short one player, and had 4 subs... we only had half of our normal team, but still... just brutal. I cried a little.

But on the flipside, just imagine how ecstatic that team of 12 year olds must feel now that they have one victory under their belt. And add to that the fact that they did it by embarrassing the cocksure kings-of-the-hill.
Must be nice for them, I'm happy for them.

My indoors plants that I started this year have been neglected and are only about 8" tall and only have a few sets of leaves. I really need to put them outside but it's to oppressively hot right now and they'd never make it. So I guess I'm keeping them on a slow roll for making peppers next year. It's a bummer because that's my "random seed" pot and I'm really curious what will come out.
I miss having fresh peppers.

This was a poor year for me. My Bhut Jolokia plant that spontaneously regenerated has grown quite a bit, flowered, but never got pollinated. It's going through another set of flowers right now so maybe this time.
My indoors plants that I started this year have been neglected and are only about 8" tall and only have a few sets of leaves. I really need to put them outside but it's to oppressively hot right now and they'd never make it. So I guess I'm keeping them on a slow roll for making peppers next year. It's a bummer because that's my "random seed" pot and I'm really curious what will come out.
