So I went to their house and picked it up. Went to Kohl's for the 2nd time today and Spent an hour in Kohl's kid free from 9:45 till 10:50 store was dead. I tried on these under armor sweat pants with like some fleece lining. Holy fucking balls. My balls are going to be warm in these things. At first I kept going back and forth like who the fuck spends 40 bucks on some sweat pants, better go find some hanes at Walmart for 5.97.... then I went to the shoe department fucked around over in that cluster fuck of an area. Couldn't find shit, right before I gave up I found some nice Nikes for 48 bucks. Also snagged some compression pants for the gym and my bike rides.

After all this, i realized clothes are fucking expensive and I'm just going to shop at the goodwill, even though the gift card paid for everything in my bag.
Amen man!!!I feel you!!! Wouldn't spend that kinda money for shit!!! I have a few pair of Old Navy jeans, all I've wor for years, I just alternate them as needed... Sometimes they're 50% off, then I'll run out on those days and use one of my gift cards to get an uber good deal!!! Also, Payless shoes suck, but I won't pay more then $50-60 a pair, thank god for a ketches outlets...

Comp-Tac regularly has 10-15% off if you're patient.

It's nice. I guess.

They used to be a bit less expensive, I believe. There are some cheaper options, but the thing that's nice about the Comp-Tac is that most of the IWBs are adjustable up/down and independently, so you can dial in the rise and angle a bit more discretely than some others.

But much like everything else in the gun world, it all comes down to preference and opinion.

I will say though, that the CTAC I linked looks to be all kydex now, whereas it used to be kydex/leather. If that matters.

FJ, When you came down with the flu, did you guys have sore throats?

We're battling some weird ass virus
Felt like sinus bullshit
Body aches / weakness
fever, low-grade for most, kiddo hit 103 though
Followed by cough
No sore throat or chills though

Yeah, my second recommendations was going to be a plastic Walmart bag. Bonus because you can keep a couple extra *clips* in it too.

It was really weird. Jr brought home a runny nose and cough that was just nagging. It was actually the fact that he kept it for 3 or 4 days that got me to take him to the Dr. He spiked a fever, around 102, which isn't out of the ordinary for him; he usually runs hot when he gets sick, but it wasn't a constant fever - it would come and go mostly hitting at night.

He gave it to me on the second day and I got a runny nose and slight cough. Real minor body ache, which I thought was from doing sheetrock the day before but in hindsight was probably from the flu. By the next day, I felt mostly better but still had some snot drainage. About a week later I had some major sinus pressure and a nasty yellow fluid pouring out every time I blew my nose.

My unprofessional opinion, based on my observation, is that you've all probably got the flu. This was a real weird one... No chills or major ache. No shitting fanta. No puking. Just a cough and runny nose.

Pho made me feel worlds better, but time was the ultimate cure (I was the only one in the family who didn't get tamiflu).

Get your flu shot.

Talking shit about the flu shot is the new global warming denial, but the flu shot takes the edge off flu symptoms.

Sorry about your friend, crab man.

You're surrounded by doctors who are drinking the same kool-aid

https://www.vox.com/2015/10/14/9521807/flu-shot-vaccine-effectiveness

Many similar articles. I'm not an anti-vaxxer, but I don't drink the kool-aid.

I'll double down.. some studies say repeated flu immunizations reduce immunity in some.

My boss also developed GBS two years ago from a flu shot.

GBS develops predominantly in adults and the flu shot is responsible for about an increase of 2 GBS cases per 1,000,000 shots. So your boss could have gotten it anyway. It's easy to blame the flu shot, but that's not necessarily the case.

"Some studies say repeated flu immunizations reduce immunity" - That's based on one study from the Ohio State University. You can google search it but almost all the sources point back to the same article highlighting the study. Factually, the flu shot prepares you to fight the most common strains of the flu.

You should get it. There's no reason not to. You're a smart guy, Maj.

Your pops almost certainly falls into the age group at the highest risk of pneumonia. Influenza doesn't often kill people our age, but our parents' generation? Scary as fuck.

Yeah...it's actually interesting timing.

One of my best friends lost his Mom last Thursday (on the 21st) as a result of a cardio arrest likely triggered by the flu. Didn't want to bring it up but yeah...tell your folks to get the flu shot.

My pops is 39.

He's been 39 for a while now. I'm like how the hell do you stop aging.

I've told him, but then he goes on about something something military something, don't fucking tell me what to do or I'll beat your ass, military, take his belt off and then I just go to another room and shut up.

Wife and I went house hunting yesterday, just for the hell of it. Big mistake.... now we are sitting here wondering if we should sell our current house 4bed/2.5 bath 2 car garage 1900 sq ft 2 story and buy a 5 bed/ 3 bath 3 car garage 3300 sq ft 2 story....

I'm telling myself that we just have to organize but the storage lacks at this house, especially with kids.

Have you entertained the idea of getting rid of a kid or two?
