No, allroad or S5 Sportback...the latter is my preference but with all the winter weather, I suspect the allroad is likely the one that makes the most sense. Supposing that hauling capacity, the allroad is better too but, well, the ability to get a red interior and well, S5 "coupe" is just so darn appealing. Price-points are very close.


The V90, what I had lusted for so long is out because, well, it's going to push me close to $90K CAD which is alot. Same goes for an E-Class Estate (non-AMG). I am considering the C300 Wagon though as a wildcard. BMW is out. And we are not considering the Macan for now because, I want a "car".

Pricing out the Macan the way I want it...yeah, it's pricey. We are keeping the FX as it's effectively the "tank". Reliable. It's actually the MINI that we are hucking with repeated issues and when it gets blisteringly cold, the poor wife has had 2 incidents when the car had to be towed to the dealership because it was dead.

Recently, if it were not for extended warranty, we would've had to fork over $5K worth of repairs for the gear shaft. Unreliable. Fun car...but, you can't count on it.

The Macan GTS, bare-bones...starts at $76K CAD. I suppose I could consider the S but if I were getting the Macan, I'd probably want to start at the GTS trim.

Just doesn't make sense. I'd love a Panamera but, just can't even get in one given that the base-BASE model is over $90K to start.
