Back to watch The Spawn™ participate in a summer performance theater of "Whatever the Shit Kids are Forced to Sing about with a Summer Theme" and then we'll hit the pub for some milk (him), beer (me), nachos (us), and sightseeing (hipster waitresses).

Probably go to the city pool tomorrow and pretend like we're drowning to get some mouth-to-mouth from the lifguards (no David Hasselhoff's but plenty of Yasmine Bleeth's). More studying and homework for me, playing with cars for him.

Pick up the horrorfest of a mess that the house will be in before Wife gets back on Sunday, patch up any wounds, touchup paint, etc. and try to play it cool.

So dang. I guess it looks like "interacting with other adults in the real world" is sort of off the table *again* this week.
She's coming to my place, by the way. I'll take good care of her, I promise.

I'll cook her favorite food, talk about boys with her, give life advice, paint her nails, relaxing scalp massage, followed by her favorite ice cream and bed time by 6:30pm so she can catch up on her rest from raising the Spawn, and, well... you.

What were you thinking I meant by that comment?

Hey, I thought I was the old guy? I have plans for karaoke with friends tonight, come home and crash, then to a lady friend's in the morning for *** and *** and she said something about cooking me something special, and then her friend is coming over to swim in the pool...

Doesn't the ODBII throw errors without the cat? Looking at the underside this week the exhaust does look really restrictive... odd that with all the mods on this car nobody changed it.

https://www.heeltoeauto.com/j-pipe/

I'm with you though, I don't really want loud, but I would like something that flows better.

i've tricked the o2 sensor by extending it out of the stream. since, its out of the stream, it does not sense the extra fuel and will not throw a check engine light.

the only reason why mine is loud because it is catless all the way from the heads to the tail pipes.
if you are interested in that Jpipe you linked, it will not make your car any louder at idle...but when in vtec(5k RPM+) you;ll hear it.

Mine looks like all they did was dump the resonator, and when I step on the go pedal it sounds like I'm being chased by angry bumblebees... it makes me wonder if they somehow gutted the mufflers too, they look stock, two, out by the tailpipe... Damn, I should have taken a picture while I was poking around under the life.

So funny story:

I bought the cheapest tires I could find so that I'm f-ing up good tires while I get the suspension set, turns out that you can get Antares Ingens A1 235/45R17 from Walmart for about $55 and they'll install them for under $50.

So day before yesterday I drop by the shop, where they've dismounted the old square tires (well that's what it felt like they were so bad, maybe octagon) and take 'em in to the local Wally World. Three hours later and a correction to the bill (don't charge me for tire disposal... I brought you bare rims, you should be giving me a discount for not having to take them off the car!!) I throw the mounted tires in the back of my truck.

Yesterday afternoon I pick up my son from camp and drop the freshly mounted tires and wheels off at the shop. Except that half of them are mounted the wrong direction. Brilliant.

Yesterday evening I stop back by retail purgatory and wait another two hours for them to remount... I get in the truck and think "I'd better check 'em". Yes, you guessed it campers... they'd mounted them backwards... again.

To my credit I didn't get mad or scream and yell... but it was quitting time and the back of my truck was in the way of closing the garage door and I wasn't moving until I had tires going the right direction.

Imagine that, flipped the tires the right way and balanced in under 10 minutes. So why did I spend 5 hours in the last two days waiting for them?! That irritates me more than the guys that mounted them wrong. Maybe Walmart needs to quit paying them by the hour...

Word to the wise, if you buy the tires, pick 'em up and take them over to a tire shop... Discount tire is reasonable, and offer free rotation flat fix, etc at any of their stores nationwide. (there was a lady at Walmart the first day that had bought tires, they put the valve stem in wrong, took the car to a different Walmart to fix it and they insisted she go back to where she bought the tires).

So at the risk of fucking up and having a good, technical discussion in the salad tossing thread, doesn't that O2 trickery fuck up the A/F computing? Or does the car not look at the exhaust to adjust the intake side of the equation? Is it just for pollution monitoring? Cat health? I'm confuzled.

Oh, shitcockpiss. Just to keep things on topic.

I've come to the conclusion that the problem is when you marry them... my ex is a whole hell of a lot nicer since she divorced me, and I'm not having to pay her bills... the gals I know are much nicer too. It's like they want to feel secure, but then when they have security they say "fuck it, I don't have to try anymore". I have several women in my life now, they all know about each other, and none of them act psyco... none of them live with me either.

Ah, . Yeah, you might be right. And that would make sense vis-a-vis catless and the j-pipe discussion.

I'm still a noob about these fancy new cars with multiple sensors and stuff.

That's why I blow cocks at walmart bathroom toss salad take it in the shitter and smile with no teeth stupid inbred hick that drives a SUV.

The J has a total of 4 sensor...2 on each primary cat. upper ones are A/F...bottom ones are dirty sniffers and require the defouler to prevent your car from knowing you're ruining the sky.

So how many cats does it have?! Am I counting 3? One off each cylinder bank, and then one downstream?
