Some times you just wanna mouth-poke a toothless meth head in a dirty white skirt while your rig fills up with diesel. Knowwahttamean.
The better app would be like grinder but you could also specify that they bring you a carton of Kools, some Pemmican, and a 72 oz diet Dr. Pepper when they head out to give your Johnson Rod a gummer polishing.

Did some parts pricing... Clutch parts are cheaper than I expected.
LuK clutch kit - 223.66
LuK double mass flywheel - 265.08
LuK M.C. - 41.15
LuK S.C. - 75.06
all prices are in Canadian dollars... Just have to add shipping. Revamp the entire clutch system got $605 in parts. I can't imagine labour on replacing the clutch and flywheel would be more than $600. I can do the M.C. and S.C. Myself... Hmmmm...

What exactly is it doing? Just hard to get into gear? Does the clutch slip or make any noise?
$20 says it's the mc/sc not the clutch.

the pedal itself I find has a bit of a... I don't know how to describe it... Bumpy feel when released. It's not operating smoothly and makes a bit of noise. I figure that's attributed to one of the cylinders.
the other (and main) issue is once in awhile, generally when shifting above 5500rpm, but sometimes even when reversing out of the garage, the pedal gets this extremely firm feel. When it happens and I am in gear, if I push the clutch down, I can't shift out of the gear. It's like it gets stuck. The clutch pedal also doesn't want to rebound as it should. I'm either forced to shut the car off and get it out of gear, or stall and get it out of gear. I pump the pedal a couple times and it works normally again, as it should.
if it happens when in neutral and trying to go into gear, I have to pump the pedal a couple times to get it to work again.
Both of these sound like cylinder issues. However, I'm worried that i caused excessive damage to the pressure plate and/or flywheel. It's not always apparent that the clutch is acting up while driving, so if the clutch stays partially engaged, it is likely wearing big time.
There have been threads on this issue on AZ, and I believe crabman even had it too. Most people replied their clutch and the problem went away. I'm not sure if that is because they also replaced the SC, or there are two slightly different issues causing similar problems. For some, the clutch replacement worked. for some the SC replacement worked. Not sure. No one has ever come back to say what the problem and ultimate fix was.

Sounds like one of the cylinders.
All the masters I've had fail have had dripping fluid coming through the shaft seal into the footwell right at the firewall.
I *think* I replaced a slave cylinder but I don't remember the symptoms. Probably was the fact that the master *wasn't* leaking.

Clutch usually fails with slippage so you could get going at a moderate pace (25mph Canadian equivalent) or so, and then shift to third. Floor the gas and if RPMs go up quickly without a real speed increase, that's the clutch.

Fix the master cylinder, slave cylinder, and clutch all the same way: Jack the car up, apply a liberal spraying of Plastidip and let dry.

Clear, concise methodology on fixing an issue. Cul0, I'm glad you know your shit. I'll try this as soon as I get home!

Check the rubber grommet that goes over the clutch fork into the transmission case, Adam. I missed it for years but mine was broken which allowed water/humidity to get in there and actually rusted the inside portion of the clutch fork...caused a creak in the engine bay and also a weird not smooth pedal feel. I replaced it and used a syringe with honda high temp grease and a mirror to lube up in there...was smooth as the skin between my toes by the time I was done.
