I know I'm going to sound like a wiener, but I'm happy crabs is back. The more ramblers, the better this place is.

Until of course, I piss someone off and then some stupid argument ensues...

Crustaceans have a great spot in the food chain...under humans.

Mmmmm...do I love some crab. Done style or gwai-lo style (steamed a la butter)...

Only way a post can not return is if it is "hard" deleted...Anything a regular member deletes is considered by the system a "soft" delete and all Senior Mods can see them.

I am not sure about the standard Moderator level though.

Only functionality I can't really do is promote and change people's handles. That's the Admin level...

And no...do not want Admin-level. Contrary to what you may think, it's an even more thankless job.

Yum, what's the hierarchy of AZ look like?

Is Astro at the very top? Or Ron A? Are they on the same level? Curious to know how this place is setup, and how a guy like Ron A got a free, thankless job that requires so much dedication. Or is he on payroll?

Wow... being on AZ payroll... now where's that suicide booth??

Oh he'll be back. I bet he's probably been so productive at work, he doesn't even want to come near this cesspool. When there's a pink poodle receiving a few different Nobel prizes, you'll know it's because he stayed away from here.

Wow...first rule of modship is to not talk about modship.

K... is the only employee of IB. The other admins are more, to my knowledge, just volunteers...like the mods and senior mods.

60k posts.

Crabs doesn't want his forum warranty to expire so he's keeping it right under the mileage. And rolling back when needed.

Gaming the system.

And a BIG FAT PHONY!!!

soopa works for Facebook now...he sold the site and has been pretty much offline since. He's an "emeritus".

And as I've said many times, his postcount is artificially inflated...I passed him long ago.

Yup, nothing wrong with that at all. I think he's saved a bunch of members from losing money with various scammers in the BM section.

IB bought AZ from Soopa?

I wonder how much he got. I also wonder how it's working for FB.

Great benefits, great pay, super lax environment but a lot of work i'm sure. Awesome campus that keeps you there because they want you to work hard and be happy working.

To be an effective Admin, it's a pretty serious job...I know teranfon offline and he's considered a good friend...and he once told me the work involved...It's insane.

And FWIW, mods have different approaches on here...As you can see, I pretty much 99% push content and organize info in the sub-forums I have "jurisdiction" (albeit, I can edit/change any post in any sub-forum) in...I do not really get involved in discipline.

Client here 110% has asbestos .. and mold.. and who knows what else..

Coworkers and I pleaded with our PMO to splurge on a HEPA filter: Got this baby expensed:
Amazon.com - Winix WAC5500 True HEPA Air Cleaner with PlasmaWave Technology - Hepa Filter Air Purifiers Amazon.com - Winix WAC5500 True HEPA Air Cleaner with PlasmaWave Technology - Hepa Filter Air Purifiers

feel so much better in here

Also bought some filters and ghetto taped them onto the A/C registers..

I can finally take deep breaths and not die

Probably like Google. When I researched them while prepping for my interviews, I heard that you have 4 appraisals: You are either on par or trending upwards. If not, fired. No questions.

I would suspect FB, Apple, and all the big companies in that area are the same. And I agree...weed out the crap.

I applied twice. First time, got nothing.

Second time...Made it to Round 4...the onsite interviews. Amazing campus and experience...I've never sweated in an interview...Google sure did.

From what I heard, if I tried again, my "score" will go up again and my chances of getting in are good. BUT...now with Little Cha in tow...not an easy thing. I'm going to be resigned to staying here for awhile...I may complain lots about where I'm at but ultimately, it's not terrible and could be way worse.

And we also recently bought a new place (we're building). My career at my present place is pretty promising...and I don't hate it. But, interesting to think what-if.
