We all seem to suffer from 1st world problems... it'd be surprising how quickly we'd forget those if we had to deal with 3rd world problems...

J, snap some pics of your surroundings in Palm Beach. I want to live vicariously in your shoes and forget about the igloo, freezing, white (no waicist), wasteland. Brrr....

The kids that are more fussy, well...let's see...the parents don't really have a typical bedtime and their lives are always go-go-go. So, social lives continue and so, bedtimes can often extend to 10PM. Because of their social lives, meals are often in louder more hectic places...and gee, I wonder why their kids are kinda upset?
Is it rocket science?
Little Cha has been better since he went on antibiotics. Pneumonia was not a great way to celebrate his 3rd Xmas but it is what is...we're just working on getting his weight back. At least he's back to being his cheerful self...very proud of himself lately as he's discovered how to connect LEGO bricks together to build a big tower.

yeah, but I think pretty much everyone living in Canada and the US forget about how rough 9/10s of the world is. We even seem to forget about how rough it can be for people in our own countries.

There's a book that my brother and his wife live by. I think it's called "healthy sleep habits, happy baby". The book is all about creating a routine for your child. If they show signs of being tired once (rub eyes, yawn) it's almost bed time. If they do it again, it is bedtime. And you build their schedule around that.
A lot of times you see babies and toddlers throwing temper tantrums in the evenings and it's because they likely are just getting grumpy from being up too long. They need that routine and all the sleep they can get.
Granted, it's not exactly the same with a two month old, but eventually you gotta build it in. Plus, it gives the parents some quiet time and alone time, which always helps. My brother used to put his kids down by 7pm. Always. Day in, day out. The oldest is now 8 and has been pushed to 8pm, gradually. That book is worth it's weight in gold

PSA: check your battery connections for corrosion or looseness... Driving back for a doctor appointment and having the car lose power for a split second is no Bueno.. I thought it was loose but risked it anyway.. Got to doctor and corrosion on the positive terminal was bad...
Time to go home, clean it, and put some lube on it... Thank god for that industrial sized drum I bought!

Yes. My youngest knows when it's 7:15 he kind of put himself on that schedule... Bathtime... 7:15 - 7:35ish. His brother and him can get all their energy out by splashing. 7:45 story time.. Usually the youngest never makes it to 7:45. 8 Bed. But of course they wake up in the middle of the night.

Ugh goddamn, woke up an hour before work (at 2 pm lol), rushed my ass here ... there's nothing happening. Typical.
Going to hopefully get started on my sub build tomorrow, still trying to decide if I want to try building a sealed box first or go with an infinite baffle setup.

about 10 years ago, when i had an aftermarket stereo in my car, I built my first sub box. It worked and it was solid, but it definitely was not pretty by any stretch. I just didn't have the wood working skills at the time. I ended buying a ported box on a whim (it was like 50% off at some stereo place) and I never ended up looking back.
These days, I'm sure I could build a much much much nicer sub box, specifically to my dimensions, but back then I did what I could and it wasn't great. Working with wood just seems like one of those things you gotta do over and over until you get really good at it. It just takes practice, but eventually you get comfortable with the tools and you know what to expect if you use particular tools.
Either way, you can't go wrong. Just depends if you're willing to take the risk!

I think the only issue with an infinite baffle setup is that your subs are essentially exposed in the trunk. You likely don't want stuff hitting the subs, and plus, they have huge magnets that will attract anything iron based in your trunk. If you're ok with not ever really using your trunk (or being very careful if you do), then go that route.
Personally, I like the idea of a removable sub box, just for those random times you need to throw something into the trunk.
