It's a trade-off for me still because even though the OMD EM1 is twice the price nearly, it's weatherproof and glass is 1/2 the price since there are so many options.

I follow a photog who did the same. Trey Ratcliff, he's known for his HDR pics (first HDR photo in Smithsonian). He's local but world recognized. I signed up to his weekend class, until I found out it was freaking $5k.. people flew in across the globe for it, just to take pics of downtown Austin, then meet in a conference room and post-process.

Anyways, he moved from full-frame Nikon to Sony. I haven't checked his site in a while (stuckincustoms), until now. But his gear section used to be Nikon + his new mirrorless setup. Now it's all mirrorless.. and he has the a6k..

I think I might grab one.. fk it.

I had two VAIO motherboards take a shit on me, their ODM made fucking garbage boards. They have great tech, but sometimes get cheap on execution and we suffer from it. If they value the product, it's quality all the way through, but that cuts their margin so they need to sell a shit ton, which is tough in many markets.

I had that mauve vaio computer...so did Betty when I met her. I think everyone bought one at some point.

I'm still very happy with my Nikon and I only charge $1 for my photography classes and that's because I include a "free" craft beer and model nude for it (free also).

Vaio's used to be the Apple of laptops. I remember 2k+ laptops being sony's and wondered wtf were they thinking. It's a classic case of trying to bite off more than they can chew, they were good at targeting the premium market but when they watered down their products to try and grab market share from another demographic, everyone suffers.

fuck me! I love my Peak Design strap and mounts and stuff.. they make solid stuff. Backed them on kickstarter, very well done. They had a recall on their attachment system but handled it seamless and with such grace...

My spelling is off today. I went to the pot, so hopefully that helps.

I'm finding 3G TL's all over the place... I just haven't found THE ONE yet.

Why hide? I have the genetic disposition to be excellent at it.
Just got off the phone with my 88 year old Grandmother. I need to hop on a plane and visit her.

You should convert garage into Grandmother loft and give her Betty's Caddy.

#oldpeoplelovecaddiesandflorida

Then buy V as a replacement.. Watchout.. Betty's driving.

Honestly, it's a tough spot for me, she lives in Switzerland and she can't travel anymore. She's caused some major drama for me (and others in the family) so it's a juggling game of forgiving and being the bigger person. At the end of the day she fam and she was good to me as a kid and loves me.

Also $2500 for 2 tickets to fly there.

That's cheap playa.. I spent that for one person going the other way. Fly to frankfurt for like $600 and take a $50 train. Problem solved. #hereallday

Blood is thicker than water in cases like these.

I may be able to get you and Betty over cheaper if I book with miles Depends on the dates though. If you're interested, I'd be happy to do it!

I'm hanging out thanks like handjobs.
you guys know when I "thank you" that's what I'm picturing doing, right?

Johnny, you're too kind. I do appreciate it. Betty would give resistance to going...that's for sure. The problem with her is she pits blood against blood...normally my father...plays him like a fiddle, makes him and I go to war. Flat out lies...etc...she hasn't been right since my Grandfather passed in 1997.

Might be hard to do but best option might just to be to go without her. My offer still stands, anytime, just PM/text me!

My mom and dad's sides of the family had some family drama a while back that almost drove them apart.. It was completely idiotic and really shouldn't have even involved them but I made it a point to not be biased towards either side because at the end of the day, they're still my family. Marriage sometimes makes things difficult but my cousin told me something a long time ago:

Girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands, wives, friends all come and go, but you only have one dad, mom, grandpa, aunt, uncle (i know i know you can have more than one of these) is family and once they're gone, they'll never come back.

Moral: you only have one family, cherish the time you have with them

you can't choose fam cuz.. not saying don't cherish them.. but sometimes you need to let go and do what's right for you.

I don't mean this in a selfish way, but some people can't be rehab'd naw mean?

Boy do I...the day I stopped trying to please my Father (don't go there fukers) was the day I became a man. I still don't like when he's upset with me, but I realize that a lot of times it's his problem, not mine. I have be okay with not always being liked. Fk it.

To that point too, Johnny...at some point your wife/kid(z) have to be considered your family and priority and if someone tries to put you in a position where you have to pick you have to think about what preserves the peace in YOUR life.

Just something to think about...like anything else, it's a balance.

Thanks again for the offer, man.

That said, nobody gets a carte blanche from me. I'm very impartial and am quick to tell my mother or wife if they're being fked up and need to apologize for something.
