LOL...funny, I recognized all the stolen bits but loved the beat and how it came together. Very DJ Quik etc...
Hmmm...if it drops in to the 20s after the new body style...that would put it within range! But given how rare the V's are starting to V (within reason)...I wouldn't be shocked if the well maintained ones DO hold their value and see an increase.

You wanted to build a double sided, vibrating dong also, didn't you? Damn patents...

Or just keep saving and get a RLX which will be worth twenty eleven billions, upgrade the tires and be superman.

If it's joe shmoe filing a patent, it's not worth it to him unless he licenses it or puts it into production. Nobody has 40k to file, and another +100k to sue, if it does get utilized (and they find out about it). Plus you need to renew. Fuck that shit.

Yeah, I mean a GM out of warranty is like rawdogging a daytime stripper. Sure, you might be the *one* person that's the exception, but chances are that you'll regret it when stuff starts leaking and cracking open.

The dealer I bought from also backed the V with a lifetime powertrain warranty for as long as I own it. I wrapped it in a bumper to bumper for an add'l 3 years (no mileage restriction) after the original warranty expires.
I'm not worried.
Plus it's a freaking LSx with a Eaton blower and a GM trans. Dime a dozen.
I'll just go down to Mexico if I need a new one.

LMAO...
so you basically insured the hell out of it to NOT be worried because you must have been worried.
So you paid not to worry. Nothing wrong with that.
I still want one...

Meh, maybe you're right. I suppose it's possible that my anecdotal sample set is biased because of the typical market segment that buys a GM. Maybe I think they're shit not because the vehicle is shit but because 95% of the buyers are incompetents.
I guess I just don't care enough to, well, care about it anymore. I concede the point.

Justin, just an old school mentality that all domestics will have catastrophic failure cheap interiors and electronic gizmos. all of which are backed with zero fact or experience in the last decade.
Hmmm...Toyota stuck accelerators on the other hand...and I can provide a LONG list of failures on my 12 year old Honda (known for being trouble free and basically maintenance free).

btw.. the TL had rear and front main seal leak, vtec solenoid leak + oil pan leak + axle seal (both sides).
Best thing about the TL was I always got to work on her.
I put the V on ramps.. fucking sketchy, not doing that again.. anyways.. it was fucking clean.
Yeah, that's the unknown. It's not overengineered, but it has a lot of sensors. I'm not worried about the electricals though.

Honda/Acura was once known for being the ultimate in reliability... But that was when a Honda/Acura was considered "optioned out" when it had power locks/windows/sunroof. I sincerely miss the simpler days, when it comes to cars.

I don't think cu2 is out-of-line, any econo shitbox is going to have issues because they cut corners. LSx builds have years of great engineering, which means great products (usually) and lots of support. I'm not worried.
I only paid a few bills for the wrapper warranty, all the powertrain coverage was free. I got a steal otherwise.. :thief:
I will say that I felt like I was wrapped in a warm snuggly wool security blanket though. In a axe murdering rocket ship.
