Neither are my cup of tea, to be honest.

I mean, I wouldn't say no, but neither would be my first or second or third or fourth choice.

Haha no, he used to drive a silver BMW 335xi, now he drives a brown Ford F150 so he can tow his fifth wheel trailer. He's been trying to retire for as long as I've been here. Ain't trying hard enough IMHO, but I can understand why since he knows he's the only one holding the company together.

i received the moto360 as a gift.
the only use I have for it is the custom watch faces, as shown above.

i'm not going to talk to my wrist, like a crazy person.
I dont want to work out with it, in fear of damaging it.

I do, however, like the phone call and text message notifications..if i were to have my phone on silent and in my coat pocket a little buzz on my wrist lets me know that I have an incoming call or text.

who the fuck wants a camera on the damn smart watch LOLOL...Thats why I have been looking hard because I want to replace my motoactv. I got it back in 2011/2012 (cant remember) but it was perfect...custom faces, phone+sms notifications/weather info/tracks workouts and steps and calories burnt...was PERFECT!

I have a watch fetish, but this motoactv killed it...I stopped wearing any other watch! I dont want a camera, I dont want to write a damn email on it...just give me workout options, band options, custom faces and am happy

if it werent a gift, i'd wait until the 2nd or 3rd generation of smart watches/wearables.

there's one on kickstarter where it knows what kind of exercises you're doing, squats, lifting, etc...
i believe that one will be very useful for me.

almost like a fitbit, but a bit smarter.

not sure on the images, but in real life, it was well built...I agree, it was not fancy, very basic square design, with dedicated buttons, but it was loaded with tech, BT/Wifi/GPS/wireless sync/etc...for a watch which came out 5 years back, I think it was a great device...why do you think Google bought Motorola and sold if off

here are some stuff it comes with:

talking about workout, do you guys prefer a morning or evening session?

I love working out in the evenings, I have had decent amount of carbs all day long, the energy levels are high, I hit the gym hard, am drained, come home, shower, dinner, wait a bit and then hit the sack...

but it takes away all evening and with the kid, I would like to spend more time with him, so am thinking of working out in the mornings. I went in a couple days and had ZERO energy, no motivation LOL

here is what I did, woke up at 6, breakfast (oatmeal + protein + milk) by 6:20, get ready, watch the news and leave by 6:45...take my preworkout around that time, I start working out by 7-ish...do you guys have any suggestions, to get the energy level in the morning?

swoosh, 1 banana gives you enough energy for 90 mins. of strenuous activity

combine that banana with your oatmeal(slow digesting carbs) and maybe a cup of coffee or your pre-work out and it'll give you superman complex!

since, you are already taking a pre-work out, i suspect its a mental thing. you'll need to get in focus and tell your body to just do it.

I'm not denying the quality or the ingenuity but it's definitely targeted at people who do sports. Can't wear that on a night out, at least, I wouldn't. Motorola products have always been good to me. Never had a bad experience.

I might try that...Thats a great idea!

about the preworkout, I think am caffeine intolerant or whatever that is...I can have a cup of coffee and go to sleep...with my preworkout, its the same thing, I dont get the jitters, I do not go into hulk mode, I use it because it has some creatine, some BCAA's some beta-alanine. It does have some caffeine in it too

aah, yeah its not fancy at all...back in the day it was cool, since you were the only one with a "smart" watch...as Justn said, it (was) a great conversation starter when you tap it/mess around with it...

I'm an evening guy so I can't really help. What sort of workout do you do? Is it possible to shorten it while keeping it effective?

I'm on a upper/lower body split, monday wednesday friday usually. I used to go 4 times a week with a different split but it takes a lot of time in your week.

caffeine is a stimulant, ie; a drug.
it's def. a mental block that you have!!

have you tried meditation? it gets me into focus and it helps me visualize what I'm going to do out on the killing floor(gym)

It's an effective drug, but you quickly get used to it (a coffee daily for a week and you already have withdrawal when you stop).
Personally I take a pre-workout once a month when I want to go beast mode. I drink a coffee a day at max.

My workouts are almost always around 11AM...before lunch. And frankly, having experimented with empty stomach versus a meal, honestly...once your body gets used to either, they both work.

I prefer to work out with an empty stomach.

I do a push/pull and vary every 2-3 weeks...
so either its a Chest-Tri, Back-Bi, Break, Legs, Shoulder-abs, Break, Break
OR
Chest-Bi, Back-Trii, Break, Legs, Shoulder-abs, Break, Break

I am starting the HIIT where I do high reps (4 sets 20,15,15,12 reps) with 30 second break between sets and about a minute-2 between exercises...

my workouts are about 7-8 exercises with 4 sets each...I warm up for about 10 minutes, slight jog, stretch, 2 warm up sets, free weight warmup...workout for about 35-45 minutes...drink my post workout right there...cool down for about 5 minutes...hit the treadmill for 16 minutes (2 minutes at 3.5mph, 1 minute at 5.5mph, 1 minute at 7.5mph and repeat 4 times)...all in all, am at the gym for about about 65-70 minutes and my average heart rate is right at 140 for the session...

when I spoke of motivation, it wasnt more of I dont want to work out, it was more of that last 2-3 reps...the morning workouts have been more like "fuck it am done" as compared to "i got 1 more, 1 more"

I think crabby is on point with it being in my head...need to get my head right

nah, usually music does that to me...on the drive to the gym, I envision what am going to do...

when do ya meditate and how long/etc...am curious
