A long time ago I wrote a script to backup a subset of my computer files. It's run fine for years, and now all of a sudden it stops midway through and doesn't copy all my files.

Literally nothing has changed.
Computers are black magic.

Hard drive dying
Have you checked logs? Have it spit out a verbose one

The script and the backups all go onto a USB drive - plenty of space and it takes a manual copy/paste just fine (well, minus some errors I just found and need to dork with next week to understand)
No logs, per se. I don't know how to make it make logs. I just brute force code until it works well enough. And then it stops and I just .
Meh! It's FTS o'clock so next week me can deal with this garbage.
Fucking interns. If I wanted my computer to burst into flames or I needed a cup of coffee, I'd get an intern. But for shit that I want to work? Yeah, that's not the right choice.
Waste of sperm, interns are. Most of the interns can fuck up converting air to co2. I'd rather punch myself in the balls repeatedly than be forced to stare into their blank faces as my words flutter in one ear and out the other, passing through the abyss of nothingness.
I had an intern once, I would have preferred a rectal exam by an angry German man with fat sausage fingers.
But they're not all bad, I suppose. Some are worse.
For serious though...
you tell us what your massive down payment on the S5 would be and let's go find you some crazy fun weekend car to buy cash instead!
Or just go buy your certified S5! I bet I'd be excited to go sit in one right now...go around the block.
In case y'all don't go see my KBP thread...raxles solved my vibrations. Car is a damn dream to drive now.
So I'm in the yard, cleaning up the rough grading. I see a bunch teenage boys walking from house to house. I also see a truck following them. Boys are collecting bottles for their soccer team, as a way to fundraise.
I gave them 3 gigantor sized garbage bags full of beer cans. At least $40 worth of bottles/cans that I didn't want to haul to the bottle depot. I hate the bottle depot. With a passion. Helped these kids out while they cleaned my garage out.
I could match+ what I get from the TL for a down payment. So TL + 8-10k. Basically I'm trying to finance $20k no more.
It's likely I won't do that with how low rates are and will hold back and buy winter tires and summer wheels right from the start unless it comes with decent all seasons. Even then I'd probably buy wheels right away.
Glad new axles fixed your shit! I luckily haven't had any suspension issues in mine.

Yea the way I figure it the S5 manual with the options I want CPO will be $38-$42. Maybe less depending.
I really do not like the way the Cadillacs look. I like the numbers and I like the interior...but the outside is still a Caddy. I'd be more inclined to go ATS if I went that route.
How actively are you searching?
When I want a car, like the S2000, I have a one track mind and keep searching and searching and reading and watching and learning...I just got lucky both times I bought one I found it within a day
I'm sure you're aware...but cargurus is fantastic for searching.
Funny...I normally shy away from those types of ads, but then I realize now everyone over explains and is as wordy as I am (and would like them to be).
The yellow S2000 was a very vague ad with 5 terrible pictures and it turned out the seller was awesome. No games, no bullshit...a number...a car and the deal was done.
Private seller in Clermont, FL. He's the second owner but it's a CPO so it has a warranty until 2019 or 100k miles. Kind of the perfect situation for me right? Because 1) it looks like he has other Audi's at his house ($$) 2) it's a CPO which means he can't have had it very long yet is selling already...aka needs it gone 3) He actually told me to make an offer lol
2013 Premium Plus, 25k miles, manual
Estoril Blue with all black interior
He hasn't responded with what options it has but he did say once he gets to the office on Monday he will text me a picture of the original Audi sticker. Perfect.
However...I can take some guesses on all his pics.
- Full Nappa Leather upgrade
- Stainless inserts + piano black accents
- I see a 'Drive Select' button. On a Premium+ that HAS to mean Sports Differential!!!!!!!!!!!
- I see full MMi nav options
- I see the Bang & Olf speaker grills
- the better looking 19" wheels
- it actually has the power rear window sunshade too
So from what I can tell it's almost perfect. The only question is the advanced key but it's likely it has that with all the other options it has. Plus that's up-gradable later. There's also the active dampening which very few cars actually have but that's not too important to me.
