For example,

This is the one we looked it. Hands down, so beautiful. It's a no go for both of us because we want a white one.

I too sometimes think I could dig automatic and comfort...but after driving the work F150 all day, it's smooth and stress free, but I ALWAYS am happy getting back into my personal vehicles at the end of the day!

S5 is definitely on my list of upgrades one day. Although I still have a really hard time not having a NON paid off car.

Pfff... all I read here is first world problems.

"Should I get the luxury sport coupe, or should I get the luxury sport SUV?"

"should I get the beautiful v8, or the beautiful v6T?"

Oh the dilemmas y'all face. I'll just get back to driving my decade old plebe sedan It even has AC

I watched my Miata drive past me yesterday, going in the other direction. Surprisingly, I didn't feel any remorse. She looked nicely taken care of and I felt happy for the new owner. Odd.

Also I get the idea of buying a good car and not touching it. I won't do near to the S5 what I did to the TL.

Wheels, spacers, tint right from the start. Tune and maybe a drop once the warranty is gone.

Maybe a couple CF lip diffusers and or RS5 grill.

Annnnd done.

So far so good.

yeah, but then I wouldn't have my beloved S2000 and TL-S.
and then I'd have a car that I MIGHT love more than both of the others...
that might only be good at 3 things, when the other 2 cars are good at 8 things, combined.

I ono...the evil you know. I'm actually happy.

and I won't say everyone is like me...
but I got the silver S2000 and said it was perfect how I got it and wouldn't mod. Modded.
then did same with yellow...modded.

TL-S I basically just modded to the level black was at and I've stopped!

I made a whole list of mods I was going to do the the TL..

Then I started traveling for work and drive maybe 50 miles a month...

that's the best way to not mod it... Being and thinking to yourself, why the eff are you going to mod it? It's just sitting there...

So my list is just ever-growing now

bought a house, that didn't work...had a baby...that didn't work.
Chad, the payment thing is what I cling to to convince myself I'm happy, man.

Either way, if happiness with your vehicle is tied to boredom and relative...you're bound to be unhappy and bored with the next car too and maybe even not love it as much as what you got (assuming you do)...so it gives me the warm and fuzzies to not cough up Z's college fund on something with more computers and less manual transmissions (overall, not your choice specific)

Shouldn't need convinced at all. Best 3G TL (Best non-NSX Acura ever? ) Hot S2000 (Best Honda ever? ). You're doing fine.

LOL Taco

well, thank you, firstly.

Secondly, in my experience...happiness is a choice. Not just something bestowed on some lucky schmuck. So, when you see a hot chick, you don't dump your gf/wife to go check that out because you have chosen to be happy. When you see a car that's faster and newer than your car, same deal. You choose to say I'm happy. That's how it works for me...

Chad, get a feel for the buyer...anything seems out of place...bail. I ask a LOT of telling questions...and I pay attention to details, I read up on their forum posts, see if it correlates to what they are saying...make sure nothing doesn't jive with their reason for selling or condition...make sure they're willing to send WHATEVER pictures you ask for within a pretty quick turnaround. Tons if excuses or whatever, I'm out...I get the feeling you're not what you say, I'm out...

Preach, "ah, men" brother... People that know me know that I'm never truly happy with what I've got.. There are a few things that I'm happy with..1. GF 2. TL. I use my discontent as an excuse/reason to do better in my life (be it with my job, my personal/professional relationships, my (lack of) physique, etc..

Until you learn to be happy with what you've got, you'll never be happy with what you get..
