They don't import many type Rs because they tend to be much more expensive and the performance bang for the buck is much lower. I can request them to look for one for me based on my criteria though- mileage, auction grade, price, etc.
And you don't like the white wheels? Dude, people fight tooth and nail for those wheels here, lol!
And fuck GTRs. There are soooo many of them here and they are generally driven by guys 18-22 years of age. I do not want to be associated with that group at all. I'm not much of a Nissan guy either. While sure, you can make them rocket fast, I'm more about the visceral feeling I get behind the wheel. While a Type R is much slower, it screams to 8k redline, has one of the smoothest and nicest shifting 6MTs and the suspension is tuned just right for hauling ass right out of the factory.

I like the rarity of the Type R here and the overall styling a bit better, but that's because I was raised with Honda blood in my veins. Don't get me wrong. I now nissans can be bad as fuck, but I've never taken a liking to them. No idea why.

Check out how cheap some of these cars are. I wouldn't settle for an auction grade less tha 4.0 though.

I should not have looked at that site.
So much hoarding potential.
I'll probably bring some of my 'murican greenbacks to convert to Loonies when I move up there after the election. And I'll be buying a couple of those hoonmobiles.

Seriously dude, there are Skylines on there that are way fast from the factory. You're right though, I drove an Integra Type R back a few years, that was a good car.
Are you serious about the white wheels? Should I plastidip my bimmer wheels to white?

But really, I talked to wifey about it. She's surprised I'm even thinking JDM, but she's all for it. I've already somehow managed to find a potential buyer for the miata, even though I haven't posted the car yet. I'll see if anything comes of it in the next week or so. Won't post the miata officially until April, as I want to drive it still for a bit
Also, it's not like we don't have money. It's just that we don't want to dip so much into savings to accomplish the things we need to do this year.

Shoot, cheap is right...I wonder what would need to be done to make them US legal?

Import rules in Canada allow you to bring anything in that is 15 years or older. In the US it's 25 years or older.
And I know, skylines are fast. I'm just not a Nissan guy. And there's too many skylines here. And good luck getting non-used parts when something breaks, since the skyline, or any variant of it, was never sold here. Or pay an arm and a leg to get new parts shipped from japan- but I don't even know who would be able to do that. At least with the type r, 95% of the parts are available off the RSX. Same with other Hondas or subarus.

To make them legal in the US, you'd have to wait another 10 years

Or just overnight them from Japan in time for Race Wars.

Kevin, stahp!
Don't tempt fate...
not for "a little lower up front"...
if you want to give it a proper stance and lower it, then do it...but if you're pretty happy with how it sits, don't mess with it. You'll shoot your eye out.
