I was thinking of an Ambarella A7 or something like that for my dashcam. What's to compare really?

I cut my toenails straight across, so there really shouldn't be anything going under the skin. I think this has been a very slow, on going thing and it's finally gotten to the point of being messed up.

You're supposed to cut them straight across, not curve them like you do on your hands. By curving the cut, you can end up getting ingrown nails.

 

I cut mine round...but I dig out the corners first, get all the grime and any skin that's starting to grow over making the nail dig in.

I also keep my nads shaved tight, son.

 

Let's get back to image stabilization.. why are you going to pay several hundred dollars to mount that piece of shit to your car, when you can get better image quality with image stabilization and better low-light noise and exposure levels w/ the sony actioncam? Sure the fanbois will decry saturation and white balance, but the overall gopro image is so dull and lifeless.

 

The Sony ActionCam digital stabilization is better than it used to be, it does a great job vertically but not so much side to side. Better than none, though.

Some will dig the slightly oversaturated colors, something you'd usually end up doing in post-process anyway, while others would prefer the more natural colors of the GoPro.

All in all though, it's mostly a price thing. A camera this good at like 150$ less than the GoPro is what anyone should be funding instead of just aimlessly throwing their money at GoPro.

 

I had a habitual ingrown toenail.. just kept ripping it out. Doesn't grow back anymore.

Neither the iON Air nor the Drift ghost are capable of 1080p @120fps. That's the only attraction of the gopro. I wonder if in the next few months the other brands will catch up. I don't need/want the camera until about May anyway.

 

Wow...the Sony is better in every regard except maybe width.

 

That video of the gopro 4 comparison with the sony cam is cool. I don't really care about the other two vids since those cameras are older models anyway.

Other than resolution and other gimmiky additions, the 4 is only marginally different than it's predecessors. 4 gens, no image stabilization.

4K is marketing hype. We're still a solid year or two before anything is widely available at a reasonable price in terms of displays and content. Fucking Sammy is selling 4K TV's without HDMI 2.0 or 1.4x inputs.. like WTF?! How the fuck are we supposed to watch 4K content. It's all marketing at this point.

5 second rule!

 

I would rip it out by picking opposite end towards teh ingrown side, allowing the nail clipping to go deeper / wider to try to get all of it. Sometimes I'd have to pull shards out if it didn't pull off completely. Toe would get full of pus.. clean it up with alky after. I looked forward to pulling it out every month or so.. I'd usually have to pull all the way toward the top of the nail bed / quik.
