Well, Rogers is here...but, what I mean is that their main offices are not local; at least not to my knowledge. I'm sure they have regional centers.

There are other companies like Shaw and Telus.

Ah nonono...I've actually never worked in the telecom sector although did consider joining Nortel a few years back. Whew that I didn't.

The equipment data is basically my organization's asset inventory data that needed to be converted from the source system to the new target ERP...

Oh HAH! I actually hate data readiness/conversion...mind you, all my experiences have been horrid; so, in the last ERP, while we were migrating the item master data, some moron made changes to target fields last minute without telling me...so, our entire 6 hour job was ruined. That's just one of my "highlights". Many other ruined weekend migrations...where data failed to convert because we had garbage in there that did not meet the target's character restrictions.

Doing data readiness (i.e. cleansing/standardization) was also a horrid exercise since IBM Websphere could only fix around 60% of the data and the rest of the data prep had to be manual.

In this current one, we were migrating data before design was complete. My migration spec had went through 47 revisions...and I'm neurotic, so, I strikethrough changes and highlight them...well, I ran out of colors in Word's highlight feature many times over...since well, the highlight feature has only 14 colors you can use (can't really highlight with black).

I'm not even sure how I got pegged into data readiness. I'm a BA by trade...I should never have put in SQL in my CV.
