When I checked the mileage to last year's meet, it was a 24 hour drive. Little more than I'm willing to go.
Although I'm thinking if we get enough people, I might head out to central FL for their meet. Gotta convince J to go. Bastid won't drive 20 miles to a meet.

Haha I think some come here seeking random info about the TL. At least that's what I've gathered from a few new members or even people who have been here a while and don't want to make a thread for one little question.

I would consider a Tampa meet...if they made it at Alafia State park. I'll bring my TL and mountain bike.

They're in the midst of planning one in the Regions section.
Looking to be probably 3 or 4 months away.

I don't think your "honesty" or shooting from the hip is what gets you in trouble with people, Anil. It's your know it all responses to just about every situation or suggestion.
Just sayin...I think I have the same issue. I usually assume I do when I clash with someone.
Luckily, we BOTH know we're coming from a good place so we keep the hounds at bay and ignore instinct to verbally destroy.

I do stand up for what I know and I am not a "yes man"....no matter who says something and if I think its wrong I do voice my opinion/option...at the same time, if am proven wrong, I do accept my defeat and learn from the experience....
I certainly think there is nothing wrong with that

its all good Jeremy....I think we are past the point since we both know where we come from (as you mentioned) and also we both know we mean no harm 
Couple folks comes in a day or 2 early (Wednesday/Thursday) instead of Friday and hit up couple golf courses around here....We have some pretty nice green over here....
Hoping this trip/extra day or so wont clash with your golf tourney....
the meet is on 6th/7th/8th June.
6th (Friday) evening, we head to get some famous KC BBQ
7th (Saturday) morning/afternoon, we meet and hit up couple more places to eat and take some pix and have some events (last year it was Go Karts). Evening, we meet at the dealership and caravan to dinner and take some pix again
8th (Sunday) morning - afternoon is the meet. After the meet, time to grab some more grub (some people drive out right after the meet, others wait for Monday morning)....as a ritual, we do hit up Hooters 2 times. A day before the meet and right after the meet....

Sure...you can fight it, but you'll lose. If anything like Colorado, they will have pictures of you going into the intersection after the light turned red. Here...if your front wheels have crossed the line while the light is still yellow, no ticket. If the are short of the line when it turns red...pay up. They might however change it to a non-moving violation if you have good driving record.

My sensei's handicap is 5. And he sandbags.. He's recorded more than half-dozen hole in ones and several eagles.
I played golf with him once. I told him my handicap is 5 as well.
