I know many people who have no real ties, no family, weren't born nor raised in Hawaii who rep it.. I'm always like.. O_o.. Eh, it's one thing to love Hawaii, it's another to rep it. I rep it to some extent due to my affiliations.

My Tongan broham came over for a house party when I was living in Kaimuki.. these haole douchebags (going to HPU) who were invited by my swedish roommate (swedish snow bunny), were acting mad stupid. They started trying to start shit when my broham stood up. Lead Haole guy remarked, "what are you going to do samoa?" Tongan broham got super pissed (probably because they thought he was Samoan) and said "Haoles, get out!" Those 5 guys huddled together, looked at each other and ran away.

I was about to pass broham a chair.. too bad. Would have been a good party.

I worked with a Tongan whilst living there...biggest and strongest man I have ever known. He was about 6'-8", and about 280, but the nicest guy I have ever known. I worked for a steel fabricator, and used to have lunch/play cards with the guys in the shop. Only haole working for company of about 100. So one day this Samoan is giving me a hard time cuz I was whipping his ass in the card game. Tongan says, "Hey brotha, leave the little haole alone or I'm gonna fucking kill you." Never heard another peep out of the Samoan for the rest of the 3 years I worked there.

Anyone have any experience with a 2011-ish MB C300 4Matic and/or BMW 328i xDrive? My lady has her sights set on those two cars, leaning towards the MB. My main concern is reliability so I'm hoping those cars are improved over their predecesors

my co-worker has a C300 and its not a bad car. similar to the TL in terms of fit and finish and squeaks and rattles.
the only thing that might be different is the price of parts/maintenance

This would be the clear cut winner (in my eyes at least) but they're a bit more than what she's willing to spend.

That's what I figured. Expensive oil changes, parts, etc. but it's what she wants. I've already looked into indy repair shops nearby because neither of those will see a dealership.

I think I'll head out tomorrow to drive both of them. She prefers the MB so far but she hasn't driven any of them yet. From what I've been hearing, the MB doesn't feel as connected as the 328 but she's not that type of driver anyways.

I'll post my impressions tomorrow after I take them both for a spin.

That goes without saying but reliability scares me more with those two than anything else. Plus she's not looking to spend that much either. She didn't even blink at the 4G TL

Iv'e driven the non AWD and it certainly is a fine car...
close buddy of mine managed to "race" to 120 mph at night, beat the other two cars, lose control (bad tires and alcohol may or may not have been involved) and ended up hitting a guardrail and limped his ass home missing his entire bumper. Wasn't until the next day that he realized what kinda damage he'd done.

Now that's a safe car.

Well, as in almost ALL cars...even the godly ones, it's all about the tires.

Good thing your buddy wasn't hurt, J.

Hence, why I said "almost ALL". Not ALL.

But, even with Glue stuck onto the CGT, that car would've probably been insane to control.
