How is Disney Land these days? Last time I went was about 13 years ago, now. I’ve heard the place is becoming an absolute gong show with regards to wait times, even with fast passes. Is that true?

It’s cool to just walk around and check shit out, but shiiiet... if it’s nothing but wait times to go on any of the rides, that kind of blows.

Yeah it's been pretty bad, partially why we stopped renewing our passes.. the other part being we're trying this whole, "save money for our wedding" weird concept..

There's this new "maxpass" option you can pay for that allows you to "schedule" fastpasses and that seems to be pretty cool. We got it (10 bucks a person a day) on my last trip there before my AP expired and we were able to get a good amount of things scheduled. It requires some strategic planning though.

I went to Disney World a lot as a kid and it would appear Disney has managed to screw the whole place up. It's kind of infuriating I have to schedule out my whole trip 6 months in advance. Between scheduled meals and scheduled fast passes, there sounds like there is little room for spontaneity.

What options does Disney have, though? They could increase ticket prices so that less people come to the parks each day. But I dunno if that’s in their best interests. Maybe they should set a daily park pass limit? But shit, all you’ll have is never ending cue lines everywhere.

My brother and his family go at least once a year. Their son, now 10, has been to a Disney park or cruise on 15 separate trips since he was born.

Raising the price won't do anything. People will still pay, especially with Marvel Land coming soon and Star Wars land opening Summer next year.
They do the off-season price, but, it's not that much cheaper. We are annual pass holders, if I go at least 5 days I get my monies worth.
They're doing fast passes on the stupidest shit now though. It's like, "Let's put a fast past on a ride that only takes 5-10 minutes to get on normally." Now stand by time is 20-30 minutes. A good majority of the rides have fast passes now. I think I'm going to try that Maxpass thing in December for a day or so, just to see.

I have co-workers who map out their dining experiences., since you have to make reservations 2 months in advance. Last month we did a Character dinner, it was pretty awesome and actually really affordable.

I went and left a piss and this dude comes out of the shitter and goes to the sink and washes his face.
That must have been a hell of a deuce.

It wouldn’t even work, though. Because all you’d get is people lining up in front of the gates, 3 hours before the park even opens. Likely not a good option when you have little kids in tow.
