The 3G Ramblings & General Discussion Thread (ʎluO sɹǝsoo7)
I haven't ever painted a house I owned, but have painted a few houses over the years. The one I'm in now is mostly brick with just a bit of plank trim. If it came down to it, I'd paint it myself. It's a 1 story so it's not too high of a job. I think most of it would be a brush job too.

but yes, yesterday I found myself at the top of a 20 foot extension ladder using a brush on the soffit thinking how visible is this really from
the ground

I painted my old 2 story townhouse...my house with my ex and now current house...still have 50% to go but I'm not willing to pay someone
else to do a mediocre job...fuck that
I hate the mental preparation for getting into paint mode, but once I'm there, if I can just do it uninterrupted, I don't mind at all. Just sort of mindless repetition that shows measurable payoff as the job gets done. Not bad at all.

I've had the reprieve of her not being able to pick a color for the last 8 months...
so the second she came home with a 5 gallon bucket, I got started the next day.
I take it as an opportunity to go buy shit to make the job easier too...5 gallon bucket
with the hanging screen, some new rollers....and a brand new $15 brush. Finally bought
a drop cloth too after painting for 20 years...which I immediately set up and never bothered moving
from the original spot
ain't nobody got time fo that!
