Dollarweed is the little fucker that has taken over my lawn. Generally, I don't do much because I am for sure not YOTM guy. Eventually it'll rain enough and the St.Asshole will grow thick enough to choke out the DollaDolla Weed. But every couple years or so I get the Dad-itch to pick up a bag of green-up and weed killer at the Home Cheapo. I noticed my neighbor had put down the big money Scotts Turfbuilder, so I got out the leftover bag of BudgetCo Sand+ Chem "fertilizer" product and used it up. Damn shit had absorbed so much moisture from the air that the end of the bag dripped out into the spreader and made my eyes water from the overwhelming ammonia smell.

This'll either be the best lawn year evar, or I'll need to rake up all the dead brown grass and pay someone to huck rolls of sod at it.

Time will tell.

I've thought about it. All of my previous yards have been rocks. I heard that you can't do that here because the hurricanes will pick up all the rocks and make like a shotgun blast to the whole neighborhood.

But you know what? I think that might just be bullshit.

Not that it matters. The HOA, who really owns my house but just lets me live here, would never go for it. The pearls would get clutched so tight they'd shatter... and that sort of thing is not what a tejas jentleman does.
