Just stirred the compost heap. No euphemism.

Soil is looking real good, but I keep getting things sprouting up in there. Mostly pumpkins from the jack-o'-lantern guts I threw in there in October, I think.

 

And I saw an avocado pit sprouting. All my childhood, everytime we had an avocado, I'd do that thing where you stab 3 toothpicks in it and suspend it on the lip of a glass filled with water to try to get it to sprout. Never worked. Ever.

But seems like chucking the pits into a heap and forgetting about them is the secret. Maybe I just wanted it too much before.

 

Speaking of wanting it. MM gonna get raped by a rubber dong shaped like a tentacle. I guarantee it.

Oh, and I looked it up yesterday... seems like planting an avocado seed will grow a tree, but it might take a few years to grow a fruit. One of those things where it takes a few years to get established before it starts working.

The article also said something about how most commercial avocados are cultivated from grafted branches, so just sticking a seed in the ground doesn't guarantee you get the same avocado. Which I don't understand since it's the seed of the thing you just ate, I don't get how it could be a different one when it propagates. But I'm no expert at horticulture. I'm an uncultured whore.

True facts: i found a LED grow light on the side of the road once and picked it up. Took it home and plugged it in and it worked fine. Gave it to one of my friends, hope he makes good use of it..

Tuesday is taco night (taco meal, not bitchass mark strick snitch Tacos) and I cut up an avocado for the fam. So if I save one seed every week and it takes 4-6 weeks for it to sprout, then... Uh... Carry some ones and divide by cubed root vegetables. There's a remainder 3 and wow... Shit... Like maybe 15 years and we should have some avocados to sell. I think?

Maybe we need to get that dildo grow light that ladiboi found.

 

I love eating avocados too but what are you going to do with that many avocados a year? I mean, I know what @rockstar143 would use them for, but Joe?..... Just sayin'

or in chunky guac (i don't like creamy guac much)
or in a salad
or on the side of an omelet

I'd bring an avocado to work for lunch. Cut it open and just eat it with a spoon right out of the shell.

taco dinner yesterday. Had some ground turkey cooked up with a little soy sauce and garlic powder, roasted zucchini and yellow squash, refried beans, tomatoes, and avocado.

The family can catch these hands thinking they're going to get seconds on the avocado. Burrrsheeeiiit!!!
