@Midnight Mystery Are you and your family safe from the wicked tornado yesterday?!
#7254
Null and proud of it
You heard about that up there?
Yes, we're safe. It mostly affected Arabi, a community about 10 minutes east of the French Quarter. That's about 15 miles from my house but the storm passed close to my sister's house on the Westbank and was headed towards where I work in Slidell, luckily, it dissipated before crossing the lake. Lot's of people are homeless and it actually cut off access for my sister's boyfriend to get to his house from downtown. It was a crazy night.
Thanks for checking in my friend!

I've got two "side of the road" scooters in my garage that are waiting for a Lithium Ion battery upgrade. Gonna hotrod the shit out of them.

It's actually the Mrs.'s Project. She's the sparky. I'd just shock myself so I stay far away.
Replacing the lead acid with Li-ion. Cuts a lot of dead weight and allows more battery (heh, in the storage sense of the word). Going to individual 18650 cells so we can fux around with higher current (take that motor!) and with more of them can just get longer run time too.
Maybe build an enclosure and put some subwoofers.

With gas prices as high as they are, I’ve contemplated picking up a folding electric bike to ride to the train.
driving my 3GTL is the suck since all local driving and it gets me like 15-16mpg.
But then again they’re around like $1K ya? At $6.30/gallon that’s enough to fill up my car 11x.
