Watching Johnny Football rip another asshole into OU (fuck OU). He probably won't be a franchise QB.. but he's one hell of a player. Well deserved Heisman.

I'm bored...
I'm bored...

Drove this today.
http://www.cityauto.com/Vehicle/Stoc.../2004-Acura-TL
Trans shifts great. Crisp and quick. A little lifter chatter that clears up on warm up but I'm confident I could remedy that with a quick valve adjustment. One owner. Car was used for a lot of traveling and long road trips. Motor mounts felt tight. Timing belt service was done, but it is unknown at what mileage. Suspension is nice and firm. No creaks or rattles. I got the guy talked down to $7000 out the door.
What you guys think?

Hmm.. I think 7K OTD is okay. 7K + TTL would be a bit much.

What condition are the front seats and any cracks in the dash?

Also.. any history of 2nd 105k service?
:what:
I pulled a carfax. All services were done at Acura of memphis. 105k service was performed albeit a little late, but my current TL has 133k with no 105 service yet either. Dash was cracked but was repaired by an independent. You can see where the repairs were done, but unless pointed out, the average person would never notice. I, being as OCD as I am, would put a dash cap on it. Seats are awesome. The silver trim peices are scratched up, and I hate the faux wood, but being a paint and body man, doing something creative with those will be easy. I was tempted to pay cash today, but would rather not ding my savings like that.
My Progressive claim online is showing totaled and complete up to payment. I should get some numbers Monday morning. I have done exhaustive research, so I know just where the cash value should be on my wrecked car. If they don't hit my number, I will tell them to "choke on a dick" and go back to the drawing board.

I've never seen a fixed dash. The dash cracks because the poly upper separates from the plastic lower due to temp expansion (hot ass dash + AC, no bueno). It usually starts around the passenger airbag and spreads to center speaker grill all the way over your instrument panel. I assume they filled those gaps.. not sure if that will hold since the dash tends to expand back filling those cracks when it's hot. It might create other cracks as a result.
I'm surprised the seats held up.. they're made from rat hair glued by rat shit. Maybe you can redo them in dillo.
105k service is no big deal.. but it's still 250 in parts. Anyways.. best of luck on the appraisal. Hopefully they won't give you any shit. I hear good and bad about Progressive. I'm sure it's their job is to suck dicks, so choking is just part of the job.
I hope it works out.. I'd love the 2nd TL to not only be the DD.. but possibly the project TL as well. Strip it down to 2700 lbs.. shit.. that would be one hell of a ride.
:what:
Side trim is just a thin piece of aluminum with vinyl pattern over it. It's easy to remove, sand down and refinish (although it won't match the pattern).. or wrap it again.. say cf vinyl.

I may do some sort of a diet, but I am not near as dedicated as swoosh or some of these other guys.....I like the luxury aspect of these cars....

I like the redondo red but dat tan interior.
I would tint the windows so no one else could see it lol. Not a fan of the wood grain either. That is more justins thing. UGK and all.
But it looks to be in great shape and I am sure you could get 400k miles out of it.
I would definately wait on insurance to finalize just in case something goes amiss there.
Don't be like our government and buy something before you have the money. I know you have money in savings but you understand what I'm talking aboot here.
I just don't see many other cars that are 4-7 years old right now that have a balance of looks, mpg, comfort and power that are in a price range that would equate into a car that you are gonna dog with a ton of miles every year.
The TL or maybe an 05ish accord. But if you are gonna get a v6 accord might as well get another TL. And if you are gonna get a 4 banger I would look at an 07 civic si 6 sp. But then you price range is out of balance.
I say go for it when you can and enjoy the hell out of it.

Steven....I like you...but 55 years old....yikes!!
The fact of the matter is; As things get older, they require more care....right Steven? I have the mechanical ability, tools, and desire to maintain a car with high mileage. Just as your Dr. has the ability to treat any age related issues you may face. I'm not opposed to replacing or rebuilding the motor down the road if needed. As a matter of fact....I enjoy doing things like that and having the pride that I did it myself...and did it well.

John, I like you too, but it's still got a LOT of miles on it.
I know, I know....it's a Honda. But still.....
Hey Muffin-nice shots! And by the way, thanks for the coach. It seems like everyone in KC is excited to have Andy Reid as the Chiefs new coach.

Thanks, A lot of them turned out surprisingly good even though I was rushing because my son was in the back seat. BTW I HATE the eagles. Steelers fan here and it sucks living in philly. If there is every a day that we both play at the same time, good luck trying to find a bar showing the steelers.

Wish I would have had my lowering springs installed with these shots but everyone with a garage keeps flaking on me. Probably going to end up biting the bullet and doing this shit on the side of the road in front of my apartment. Can't stand looking at the springs just chillin in the box.
:what:
I don't mind spending a Saturday in the garage and $50 once a month with a paid off car. I'd rather do that than pay a $500/month car note with a warranty because I think changing an air filter has to be done by the dealer....

Well, all that makes sense. And, if you can do all the work yourself, it sounds good.
I still love the color!
Saucey, the game went well. They won a close one, 1-0. We had games both Friday and last night.....we won both of those too!

Winning is good. The vikes played like garbage last night. I quit watching early in the 3rd quarter.
If only that team had a quarterback. I would like to see Michael Vick in purple he would fit right in with a team that is known for partying and getting in trouble.
And any word on the national meet. As far as what month or such?? I am gonna start looking to see what me weeks off are. I would like to attend this year.
