Somehow made it back home alive this afternoon. Passed two cops while I was doing well above the speed limit (84 in a 55, then 82 in a 65). No tickets, cops didnt even move
I passed the fuck out once I got home, woke up at 830p, ate, and now Im back at work.

Im an IT bitch. My regular data center job went away for a few weeks, so my coordinator had to find me other work. So I did a hotel system refresh last night. It usually starts around 9pm and I have to stay on site until 10am. Im typically done with my stuff and have the system handed over to the hotel staff by 3am for large hotels. I was the lead, which I usually like doing, but only with assists that I choose. None of my guys were available, so I deal with the crew up north. They have their own way of doing things, which happens to be the way the customer or my company does not want them done. So I had to babysit and complete all the server work at the same time, and I didnt have the system handed over until 7am because of it. Then I had to clean up the mistakes the assists made. 11am came and I was released by the project office. I had a room, so I could have went to sleep but I wanted to get the hell out of there and not deal with DC traffic later in the day.
What kills me is that this is not their first hotel call and some of them have been doing this for a year+.
Of course the data center work picked up this past Monday, and by then it was too late to take me off the hotel. So Ive been covering both. Ive got another hotel call Monday, but its with my guys. Im still trying hard to get out of it, because Im supposed to be in a data center meeting Tuesday morning at 10. FML.

it has felt like a short week for me and next week is super short. Son got sent home from daycare for having a temp on tues so I had to go home early and then couldn't work on wed because he couldn't go in for 24 hours.
Next week He has a dr apt on wed, Thanksgiving is Thurs and his daycare is closed friday. Yay! Not working black friday for the first time in YEARS

What do you have to clean up, I mean what comes up on a hotel system?

I feel like blowing every target in the US up after finding out they are opening at 9pm thanksgiving night. That is absurd but I am glad there is so much outrage about it so maybe they will get the hint. Feel like anyone standing in line at 7pm should be shot dead as they have no family they care about anyway.

Why are you so mad about this? The earlier the better dude, I hated waking up really late/early whatever.Get your new shit, eat leftovers from Thanksgiving and sit on your couch with your new TV that's bigger than the wall.
^ because the earlier the better takes away from the whole Thanksgiving holiday. That just means that people will be lining up the wednesday morning before miss all of Thanksgiving just to get 5 bucks off a laptop or gps that they dont really need. People just get caught up in these "deals" and are forgetting more and more about family and being thankful for the things they already have
