So after these guys BSing all day yesterday, they finished the fence in like 4 hours today smfh. I guess they were just drawing it out to make it a 2 day job. Glad they weren't charging ME by the hour thats for sure LOL. Nothing super fancy but the style matches my neighbor on 1 side and it serves its purpose of keeping the kids & dog contained. I was eager and went to buy Semitransparent stain and as I'm sanding down the couple of rough edges the guy who lives across the street tells me I'm not supposed to stain it for 6 months bc if i do it now the wood will warp. Is this true??

Oh and i know that the grass looks like dookie so pay no attention.hahaha. my kids are beasts when they play and my dog pisses on it more than a 70 yr old alcoholic with a weak bladder lol. They had to rip apart my little berm so I'm going to re-mulch that sometime next week.

Fence looks good! Idk about the staining thing but it doesn't sound very logical...it should be fine.

Nevermind, saw you bought a stain already. read the instructions, if it doesn't say anything about staining new wood, do it. I don't see why it would warp personally

Wait at least 4 weeks if the entire fence sees a lot of sun. Personally, Id wait 8 weeks just to be safe. The wood is pressure treated, so its got moisture and chemicals in it still since its new.
Thats assuming its an oil based stain. If its water based, wait a year for the wood to weather.

I was doing 76 in a 55.
In a construction zone.
That should have been a reckless driving ticket but luckily the cop didnt want to write me up for it. Miraculously, despite getting 8 tickets and 4 suspensions from 2006-2009, I a) still have my license, b) only have one ticket on my record and c) have +1 points on my license
