Hi, I am looking at a used 2008 TL-S, with 20k miles in Atlanta. The car is silver and black leather, in immaculate condition, no dings, dents whatsoever. I really like the drive too. The ask is $30k, and he is willing to take $28,500 which is the amount left on his loan.

Is this a reasonable deal? THe price from the dealer has been around $30k, or more. I was looking at a 2008 TL Base w/ Navi with 11k miles. The seller is moving so eager to give me $27k for it, which I passed as I fall in love with that TL-S.

Any advice would be appreciated.

 

I paid 33k + 7 percent tax CAD for my 2008 TL-S with 22k miles 3 months ago. It was in pristine condition, you could eat off of it. Had clear bra, everything checked out mechanically and best of all it had an owner that took care of it. It even came with a set of blizzak winter tires mounted on wheels.

My point is, if you like the car, it's immaculate, and the number is in the right ball park, just get it and be happy. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

 

If it is in mint condition, I think 28.5 is a pretty good deal. I see TL-S with about the same miles going for at least 30k.


Don't settle for the base, go for the S Good luck.

Get the type-s & you won't look back at all ...

 

For sure get the S. I bought a base 07 TL and was kicking myself every single day. Sure enough I ended up trading it for an 07 Kinetic Blue Type S. SOOOOOOO worth it!!! Also, that price seems very reasonable as atleast here in the Chicago area it seems you cant touch a 08 Type S for under $32,000

 

snatch it before somebody else does. cuz somebody will.
